Blueberry Bridal Boutique Becomes First Business to Open at Kennewick's Vista Field
Amber Keller's 16-year bridal dream landed inside a 5,000-square-foot showroom at Kennewick's Vista Field, the first storefront to open on a site 13 years in the making.

A bridal boutique carrying designer gowns has become the unlikely pioneer of one of Washington state's most anticipated urban redevelopment projects. Blueberry Bridal Boutique held its ribbon-cutting on March 10, 2026, opening the first commercial storefront at Vista Field, the Port of Kennewick's long-planned 100-acre redevelopment site near the Three Rivers Convention Center.
Owner Amber Keller stood inside a showroom spanning 4,800 to 5,000 square feet and put the moment plainly: "I'm so excited. This is a dream come true. I started this journey about 16 years ago and it's all come to this point, so it's surreal."
The boutique had already begun booking appointments in late February, drawing brides to a space that, weeks earlier, was still an empty shell within a development that has existed largely on paper since planners broke ground on the concept more than 13 years ago. Vista Field is designed to become a regional town center anchored by shops, housing, restaurants, and community spaces on a site that has long sat underutilized despite its proximity to one of the Tri-Cities' major convention venues.

For the Port of Kennewick, a bridal boutique is an unusual but symbolically resonant first tenant. Port official Amber Hanchette framed the opening within a much larger financial arc: "Oh, gosh. At full buildout, you know, you're looking at a half $1 billion worth of development and construction. There's just a wide variety of wonderful uses that are applicable to Vista Field that will benefit the people who live there as well as the greater Tri-Cities."
Port officials view Blueberry Bridal's arrival as the signal that the development has finally crossed from planning into reality, with additional businesses expected to follow as construction progresses across the 100-acre property. After more than a decade of renderings and timelines, it took a wedding dress boutique to put the first key in the first door.
