The heel is still not the point; the grid is. Henrik Vibskov’s KEEN capsule split the UNEEK into two models, the UNEEK 360 and the UNEEK Leather, and both pushed the corded silhouette deeper into streetwear’s current taste for oddball comfort. The 360 landed at $200 and the Leather at $160, a split that keeps the pair in the premium-casual lane without drifting into the stratosphere.

KEEN officially presented the collaboration for its SS26 season on May 5, 2026, and gave Vibskov the kind of brief that suits him: rework a familiar shape without sanding off the weirdness. KEEN describes the Copenhagen-based multidisciplinary artist and designer as someone working at the intersection of fashion, art and function, and that balance shows up in the details. Vibskov said he wanted to add a disc-formed circle into the UNEEK grid to create a new minimal shape while keeping the UNEEK DNA intact, then testing fresh materials and colors against the original cord construction.

The result is less hiking shoe, more design object you can actually wear. Hypebeast identified colorways including Brindle/Scarlet Ibis, Green Spring and Tangerine Cream, a palette that makes the silhouette read louder and cleaner than the standard earthy trail palette KEEN built its reputation on. That matters, because the loudest thing about this model is not just the shape but the way the color-blocking sharpens it, turning the UNEEK’s woven structure into something closer to fashion geometry than outdoor gear.

The Leather model gives the idea a more polished edge. KEEN said it uses premium leather laces and a durable upper, comes in unisex sizing, and is built to move between city life and outdoor adventures. The 360 keeps the modular, open-air sneaker logic in play, while KEEN’s collaborations page frames the project as a rework of both the OG UNEEK and the modular UNEEK 360, with first-of-their-kind design details and colors. That places Vibskov’s pair right where streetwear has been heading: toward hybrid silhouettes that feel useful, look strange in a good way, and offer design-head sneaker fans something fresher than another retro runner clone.
