Kith and New Balance's Made in UK 991 pack landed on March 16, 2026, bringing two distinct silhouettes into the Kith Spring 101 collection: the 991v1 in Vetiver and the 991v2 in Moonrock. The release moved through Kith's Monday Program, with a draw opening on the Kith App at 1 PM ET on March 13, three days before the global drop.

The pack's material foundation is consistent across both shoes. Premium pigskin suede overlays sit above mesh underlays, with reflective accents threading through the build and flat woven laces included alongside additional lace options. The greyscale palette reads deliberately restrained: grey pigskin suede dominates the overlays on the 991v1, with silver-grey mesh just below, while cream and white details surface on the N logo, heel tab, laces, and co-branded tongue label. Both pairs close out with a cream and white midsole and a black outsole.

The 991v1 marks a noteworthy return to market, having been absent for more than two years prior to this release. It arrives in both men's and women's sizing, with Kith branding placed on the heel, tongue, and footbed, anchored by a custom Kith dubrae. The midsole runs ABZORB pods exclusively, a proven cushioning setup that keeps the ride familiar to long-time 991 wearers.

The 991v2 in Moonrock diverges technically. Available in men's sizing only, it layers ABZORB pods with FuelCell cushioning, which Kith describes as "engineered for a high energy return and optimized comfort." Co-branding on the 991v2 shifts placement: Kith's mark appears on the lateral ankle, tongue, and footbed, rather than the heel-forward arrangement of the v1.

New Balance's Made in UK program carries a reputation built on premium materials and exacting construction, and the Kith formula here does nothing to undercut it: two colorways, one elevated material story, no excess. The 991v2's FuelCell addition gives the pack an unexpected functional split, making the two shoes genuinely different propositions beneath a unified aesthetic. For those who missed the 991v1 during its extended absence, this drop closed a gap that stretched well past two years.
