Lexlacedup Opens New Streetwear Shop in Holyoke This March

Alexis Rodriguez, a 23-year-old Holyoke native, opens the doors of Lexlacedup today at 523 South St., bringing a streetwear and fashion retail concept rooted in personal perseverance to a city the founder has called home since birth. The grand opening runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for 12:30 PM.

The store carries a curated selection of clothing, sneakers, and accessories, and Rodriguez has positioned it as something beyond a retail transaction: a cultural hub where fashion and community intersect. That framing is not incidental. Rodriguez established the brand after overcoming personal hardships, channeling those experiences into a mission to show local youth that success is attainable regardless of circumstance and to foster a sense of pride within Holyoke.

"On March 14, 2026, not only do we open these doors to the world, we close the door on doubt, on pain, and on every voice that said it couldn't be done," Rodriguez said.

Every customer who makes a purchase at today's grand opening will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $500 store credit. Giveaways are also planned throughout the event.

The opening is a retail milestone, but it sits within a longer arc of community engagement. For the past four years, Rodriguez has organized a summer basketball tournament in memory of a close friend lost to suicide. The tournament functions as a platform for mental health awareness, drawing residents together around a cause that carries genuine personal weight for the founder. A portion of the proceeds from each year's event funds the next one, and plans are currently underway to establish a scholarship for local youth.
