New Balance Made in UK Allerdale Returns in Rich Turkish Coffee Suede
New Balance's $269.99 Made in UK Allerdale dropped April 1 in an all-suede Fudge and Turkish Coffee palette, the silhouette's richest material statement since its 2025 debut.

New Balance dropped the Made in UK Allerdale on April 1 in a "Fudge With Turkish Coffee" colorway that represents the silhouette's most material-focused execution yet. Carrying the SKU UADWOXS and retailing at $269.99, it arrived through NewBalance.com and select retailers with no co-sign, no collab branding, and no noise. Just suede.
The palette moves across the shoe in two distinct shades of brown. The upper comes wrapped in soft Fudge suede, rich without feeling overdone, while darker Turkish Coffee shades cover the lug-inspired sole, laces, and eyelets, locking the palette into coherent territory underfoot. A premium tan leather sockliner adds a third warm note, giving the color blocking enough separation to breathe. Subtle paneling across the forefoot and midfoot keeps the texture working, and a tonal "NB" logo embossed on the quarter handles branding with maximum restraint.
Made at New Balance's Flimby factory in Cumbria, England, the Allerdale takes its name from the region that surrounds it. That geographic specificity was a deliberate creative choice. Sam Pearce, New Balance's creative design manager, framed the silhouette's purpose plainly at launch: "This is a new market opportunity for New Balance, one which looks beyond only retro running by capitalising on a shift towards a more formal and tailored approach to fashion." The "Fudge With Turkish Coffee" colorway is that argument made in suede. The walking shoe-inspired silhouette draws on the UK's rich tradition of refined leisure, landing somewhere between outdoors and dressed-down without defaulting to either.

An Ortholite insole and FuelCell midsole keep the shoe genuinely functional rather than strictly ornamental, which matters when the silhouette is asking $269.99. Earlier Allerdale editions landed in a Hazelnut colorway and a croc-textured finish, establishing a clear pattern: earthy, material-forward releases that avoid graphic-forward storytelling entirely.
Within gorpcore and workwear dressing, a monochromatic brown suede walking shoe is exactly the kind of quiet anchor piece that does the most work without demanding attention. The "Fudge With Turkish Coffee" Allerdale is New Balance making its Made-in-UK case not with a famous collaborator, but with craft and color. That's a harder argument to win, and a more satisfying one when it lands.
