The 6-Inch Premium boot built Timberland's reputation on construction sites and city streets alike. BEAMS, the Japanese select shop that has spent 50 years refining what it means to dress with intention, has now stripped that boot to its purest form. The laceless 6-Inch Premium GTX 'Ring Boot' at the center of this six-piece capsule is constructed from a custom mold that eliminates lace holes entirely, leaving a clean, unbroken silhouette in Wheat leather at ¥40,700 (approx. $270).

Crucially, this is the first Timberland x BEAMS collaboration to move beyond footwear. Every previous joint release was limited to shoes, making this capsule a genuine landmark in a long-running creative partnership. Confirmed by Timberland Japan's official site, the six pieces span outerwear, tops, bottoms, headwear, and leather goods alongside the boot, built around a utility-first ethos with real construction details to justify it.

The Nylon Jacket (¥49,500 / approx. $330) makes the strongest case for the apparel expansion. Available in British Khaki and Peacoat, it features water-repellent treatment, a detachable hood, and a hemline that converts between short and medium length. The 3WAY Denim Pants (¥29,700 / approx. $198) follow the same logic, using detachable construction to offer three distinct configurations. Tees at ¥11,000 each come in White and Green Gables, carrying both brand logos on the chest and a graphic on the back. A two-tone cap and a leather belt, both priced at ¥11,000, complete the six-piece lineup; the belt is designed specifically to pair with the Ring Boot.

The release is staggered. BEAMS Harajuku gets exclusive first access on April 10, with a launch event at 19:00 featuring DJs mitsubachi, U-Lee, and DJ IZOH, live performances by Yuka Mizuhara and Manami Kinoshita, and a projection-and-sound installation. The wider rollout across BEAMS label stockists and the BEAMS official online store follows on April 11. Timberland Boutique Tokyo in Daikanyama carries the collection from April 18.

BEAMS is spending its anniversary year in notable company: a Polo Ralph Lauren x BEAMS 50th anniversary collection also drops on April 18. For Timberland, collaborative credibility runs deep. Founded in 1952 by Nathan Swartz on the American East Coast, the brand's own 50th in 2023 produced the Future73 project with Samuel Ross, Nina Chanel Abney, and Edison Chen, and the Supreme partnership alone has produced drops across 2006, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2021, and 2024. After years of footwear-only BEAMS releases, adding a full apparel range to the equation suggests both brands still have room to push the partnership further.
