Carhartt WIP Champions Individuality With Its Spring/Summer 2026 Campaign
Carhartt WIP's SS26 film, directed by Paris-based Hugo Campan, intercepts urban stillness with bursts of motion to put individuality at the center of the brand's youth culture story.

Carhartt WIP dropped its Spring/Summer 2026 campaign film with a clear directive: individuality over everything. Directed by Paris-based Hugo Campan and realized through post-production by Studio Private, the filmic campaign shoots its cast against open city landscapes, intercutting moments of stillness with bursts of motion to let the garments breathe inside the environments they were built for.
The visual language is deliberate. Campan's direction leans hard into physicality, working the interplay between light and shadow as a structural element rather than an afterthought. The result is a narrative that feels observational and stylised in equal measure, the camera tracking characters who move through urban space with the kind of effortless self-possession that Carhartt WIP has spent decades cultivating as brand currency.
That final look is inseparable from what Studio Private's post team built in the edit. Editor Adam Muscat shaped the film's rhythm, colourist Nathaniel Skeels handled the grade, post producer Charlotte Lindsey Cook managed the pipeline, and executive producer Bianca Redgrave oversaw the whole operation. The colour and finishing work does more than polish the image: it amplifies the physical qualities of the garments and locks the film's atmosphere into its urban setting.

This is another collaboration between Campan and Studio Private, and the repeat partnership shows. The campaign frames Carhartt WIP's evolving relationship with youth culture not through product placement logic but through movement, environment, and the kind of unposed presence that streetwear audiences read immediately as authentic. Post-production carrying this much creative weight in a fashion campaign is still not the norm, but Campan and Studio Private are making a strong case that it should be.
