BTS and MU:DS launched the "2026 BTS x MU:DS Collaboration," a five-piece capsule collection that translates carved motifs from a 1,255-year-old Korean National Treasure into a shoulder bag, cardholder, hairpin, hair clip, and layered skirt.

The source material is the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok, cast in 771 to honor the king of the Unified Silla Kingdom, which ruled the Korean peninsula from 668 to 935. Housed at Gyeongju National Museum in North Gyeongsang Province, the bell is the largest extant Korean temple bell and one of the finest surviving examples of Silla's metal-casting artistry. Two of its most precisely rendered surface elements, celestial offering statues and swirling cloud formations, form the graphic vocabulary that MU:DS reinterpreted across all five pieces.

HYBE, BTS's agency, partnered with the National Museum Foundation of Korea's cultural brand MU:DS to produce the collection, timing the release to coincide with BTS's ARIRANG album rollout. Items launched online via Weverse and at Seoul pop-ups, with offline sales opening March 20 at the National Museum of Korea's gift shop, a pop-up at Shinsegae Department Store's main branch, and a second pop-up at HYBE headquarters in Seoul.

"The Divine Bell of King Seongdeok embodies the pinnacle of Silla's artistry and craftsmanship, recognized around the world," said Choung Yong-suk, CEO of the National Museum Foundation of Korea. "Through this collaboration, we hope the beauty of ancient Korean craftsmanship reaches global audiences who love BTS."

This is the second distinct collaboration between BTS and the National Museum Foundation, following the "BTS Dalmajung x MU:DS" series that launched in 2021. Three Dalmajung collections have been released to date; the most recent, in 2024, included 14 items inspired by the Pensive Bodhisattva, a white-glazed moon jar, and various celadon and porcelain pieces, alongside miniatures, keychains, and fan accessories incorporating BTS lyrics.

Among the five new pieces, the hairpin, hair clip, and shoulder bag translate most naturally into gift territory, carrying a heritage-rooted design credibility that separates the set from standard fan merchandise. Pricing has not been publicly disclosed. For international buyers, Weverse is the clearest purchase channel, though confirmed shipping availability by region has not been announced.

The pattern across both collaboration lines reflects a deliberate curatorial strategy: each drop is anchored to a specific Korean national treasure, giving the collections a cultural weight that outlasts a single promotional cycle.
