Crown Affair and U Beauty Launch a Limited-Edition Travel-Friendly Gift Duo
Crown Affair's Dry Shampoo and U Beauty's PLASMA Lip Compound launched as a limited travel duo, now at Sephora and crownaffair.com before Mother's Day.

Crown Affair's cult Dry Shampoo and U Beauty's PLASMA Lip Compound spent years living in different corners of the beauty market. On March 31, founders Dianna Cohen and Tina Chen Craig formally ended that arrangement.
The two brands celebrated the launch of The On-The-Go Duo at Cipriani Beverly Hills, drawing a room packed with tastemakers including Jeannie Mai, Heather Rae El Moussa, Bijou Phillips, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer (who arrived with her baby bump in tow), and celebrity makeup artist Sir John. The On-The-Go Duo is now available for a limited time at CrownAffair.com and Sephora.
The logic of the pairing is immediate. The set features Crown Affair's Travel Size Dry Shampoo, a portable version of the best-selling formula that absorbs oil, neutralizes odor, and restores natural movement, alongside U Beauty's PLASMA Lip Compound in Universal, a hydrating gloss with peptides and hyaluronic acid for visibly plump, contoured lips. The cooling metal tip glides over lips to deliver a sheer, conditioning gloss that hydrates, smooths, and subtly enhances natural lip tone. The dry shampoo formula is talc-free, built around persimmon-derived tannic acid that refreshes and deodorizes, while tsubaki seed oil prevents dryness, leaving hair cleansed with subtle volume without the grit of traditional aerosol products.
Together, they solve the specific problem every woman knows at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday: the hair that needs resetting and the lips that need something, and the two minutes available to address both. The set is perfect for a purse, gym bag, and everywhere in between.
Crown Affair founder Dianna Cohen described the thinking behind the pairing: "Partnering with Tina felt natural — this collaboration brings together two modern rituals designed to simplify and elevate everyday beauty."
Both products are cruelty-free and certified Clean at Sephora, meaning they're formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or mineral oil. As a Mother's Day gift, the set lands in the category of practical-but-considered: not a candle, not a generic spa kit, but two specific products from two brands she probably already follows, compressed into something she can actually carry.
The duo is limited and won't be restocked once it sells through. If it's gone before you get there, both components are available individually: Crown Affair's Dry Shampoo in its refillable full-size format at Sephora and CrownAffair.com, and the PLASMA Lip Compound on its own through U Beauty and at Sephora. The collaboration is the better buy while it lasts, but neither product loses its case on its own.
