NYX launches first body care line, under-$20 gifts inspired by viral Fat Oil lip franchise
NYX turned its viral Fat Oil lip name into a 16-piece body collection, led by a $10 butt mask and $18 body oil built for easy gifting.

NYX Professional Makeup has moved beyond makeup for the first time in its 27-year history with Fat Oil Body, a 16-piece collection designed to turn one of the brand’s most recognizable franchises into an easy, low-risk gift. The range spans body oils, butters, lotions, hair-and-body fragrance mists and a limited-edition Fat Cheeks Butt Mask, with prices starting at $10 and topping out at $18 for a full-size body oil.
That price band is exactly what gives the launch its gifting appeal. It lands below prestige beauty, but it still feels considered: a scent-led body oil, a matching mist or a playful treatment mask reads as more thoughtful than a random candle or generic lotion set, especially for younger shoppers who already treat fragrance and body care as part of their getting-ready ritual. The collection also gives NYX a familiar hook through Fat Oil, the viral lip franchise that helped make the brand name instantly recognizable to Gen Z.
The line arrives as beauty brands increasingly look to body care and fragrance for momentum. Circana data showed mass retail beauty sales rose 5% in dollar terms and unit sales grew 2% in 2025, while mass fragrance was a top growth driver. WWD also reported that mass-market makeup grew 2% in 2025, compared with 9% growth in mass body care sales and 15% growth in mass fragrance sales, a gap that helps explain why a brand like NYX would expand here now.

Denée Pearson, NYX global brand president, said the company wants to treat body and fragrance the way it treats makeup, with fast-moving, trend-led innovation and a Gen Z-first point of view. That shows up in the collection’s four in-house scents from L’Oréal, Sugar Baddie, Caramelt Mami, Coconut Cutie and Juicy Boo, and in the finish details built to flatter different skin tones. Caramelt Mami includes a bronzy shimmer aimed at deeper skin tones, while Juicy Boo carries a subtle orange undertone for medium skin tones.
Fat Oil Body is already available direct-to-consumer and through TikTok Shop, with a global brick-and-mortar rollout set for May 1, 2026. For a mass brand, that mix of playful naming, social commerce and under-$20 pricing makes the collection feel tailor-made for younger gift shoppers who want something fun, recognizable and presentable without crossing into expensive beauty territory.
