Staud and Amex Gold Launch Limited-Edition Resortwear for 60th Anniversary
Staud and American Express launched an eight-piece resortwear capsule today to mark the Gold Card's 60th birthday, with prices from $145 to $595.

American Express has partnered with Staud on a limited-edition resortwear collection inspired by modern travel and the experiences that define the Gold Card, and the timing is no accident: the collaboration marks a milestone that will resonate with anyone who has carried that iconic gold card since 1966.
The eight-piece collection, priced between $145 and $595, pulls directly from American Express' Hotel Collection, a curated program available to Gold Card members, with inspired patchwork prints and souvenir-style motifs. The designs feature custom patchwork and travel-inspired motifs that evoke keepsakes gathered around the world, with standout pieces including a special edition of Staud's Timmy Bag and the "Member Since '66" Williams T-shirt, honoring the Gold Card's launch year and its iconic "Member Since" banner.
Sarah Staudinger, cofounder and creative director of Staud, said travel has always been one of her sources of inspiration: "I'm drawn to the details you collect along the way, such as the colors, textures and small moments that stay with you long after a trip ends." She continued that the collaboration's goal was to capture the feeling of an "endless vacation" and create pieces that were easily wearable and packable wherever in the world.
The Timmy Bag, already one of Staud's most recognizable silhouettes, functions as a convertible shoulder bag with a detachable strap for seamless clutch styling. That versatility makes it the most compelling piece in the capsule for a traveler who wants one bag to carry from a Hotel Collection lobby to dinner. The standard Timmy retails around $350–$395 at most stockists, so the special-edition version, within the $145–$595 price window, sits at the premium end of the Los Angeles label's accessible-luxury positioning.
Laura Harrier, the model and actress who fronts the campaign, said, "I never leave the house without my Amex Gold Card, and Sarah is a good friend, so it feels like such a natural extension of my daily life to be working with Staud and American Express for their 60th anniversary. The resortwear works for any occasion, but especially travel because it's easy and chic." Harrier named the Timmy Bag her favorite piece and called it "a spring fashion essential."

For the friend on your list who carries a Gold Card, the math on this collection gets even cleaner. Coinciding with the launch, American Express Gold Card Members can take advantage of a special Amex Offer: from March 26 through June 30, 2026, eligible Gold Card Members can earn a one-time $90 statement credit after enrolling in the offer and spending $350 or more at Staud in-store or online. Terms apply. That effectively reduces the cost of a mid-tier purchase in the collection to well under $300.
Lisa Kalhans, executive vice president of U.S. consumer proprietary products, reward programs and benefits at American Express, framed the 60th milestone as an opportunity to celebrate card members and the way they live with travel, dining and memorable experiences, adding that "Staud's playful and expressive approach to fashion mirrors how our card members experience the world, which made them a natural partner."
The full eight-piece collection, including select unisex styles, is available now on staud.clothing and in Staud stores. For the traveler in your life who collects experiences the way Staudinger describes, this capsule is the closest thing to gifting the trip itself.
