In Hall 4.2, the Urban Gifts, Stationery & School area gathered design-led brands such as Chic.mic, Donkey Products, Kikkerland, Marna and Troika, which tells you exactly where gifting is headed: smaller objects, clearer personalities, less fluff.

Candles that feel like objects, not leftovers

Candles were one of the clearest examples of novelty meeting usefulness. CandleHand’s life-sized OK gesture candle costs $44.99, which pushes it out of stocking-stuffer territory and into present territory for the friend who likes a little attitude with their décor, or the coworker who already treats a desk like a personal stage. The fair’s home-décor crossover was strongest where the objects could live in plain sight. That is why Frankfurt still matters. The scale of Ambiente gives the market a reality check, but the products that will spread are the ones that understand the new gift brief: novelty at first glance, usefulness the next morning, and a price that makes saying yes feel effortless.
