Libertine brings a luxury fashion residency to Aspen’s Little Nell

Libertine will turn The Little Nell’s boutique into an Aspen Art Week shopping stop from July 29 to Aug. 4, bringing the Los Angeles label’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, plus a special assortment of luxury fashion and collectible pieces, into Aspen’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond, ski-in/ski-out hotel.

The setting is part of the appeal. The Little Nell boutique bills itself as Aspen’s most chic boutique and says it offers a wide collection of gifts and souvenirs, but the hotel itself sits at a higher register, with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star recognition every year since 1996 after first being recognized in 1995. That pedigree gives the residency a built-in sense of occasion, the kind that makes a fashion purchase feel more like a found object from a very short-lived cultural moment.

Libertine fits that role neatly. Johnson Hartig launched the brand in 2001, and the label’s references span art, fashion, history, design, travel, culture and canine appreciation. Its past collaborations with Damien Hirst, Goyard, Converse and Target show a house that can move between collector cachet and playful, giftable design, which is exactly the lane that works in Aspen when shoppers want something sharper than a logo souvenir and less predictable than a standard resort buy.

The residency will land during a busy stretch for Aspen Art Week, which runs July 27-31. AIR Aspen, the Aspen Art Museum’s festival of new commissions and talks, runs July 27-31 as well, while the Aspen Art Fair returns to Hotel Jerome from July 29-Aug. 1 with more than 35 exhibitors. With art, fashion and luxury retail converging over the same few days, The Little Nell becomes one more stop where a single purchase can carry the memory of the week with it.
