Pragma launches 18-watch stone dial capsule with Ace Jewelers

Pragma is making scarcity do the heavy lifting. At London Watch Week 2026, the brand unveiled its Stone Dial Editions 2026 as an 18-watch annual capsule, then narrowed the path to ownership even further by tying distribution to Ace Jewelers in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

That is exactly the kind of watch story collector gift buyers pay attention to now: not just expensive, but deliberately hard to get, with a clear origin story. The first release, the P1 Perseverance Silver Obsidian Dial, is limited to six watches total, five in solar stainless steel and one in 3N gold. Sodalite and jade versions will follow later in 2026, and each stone dial is not a decorative cover. The stone itself forms the dial, sits on a brass base, and has indexes carved directly into the surface.

For the boardroom minimalist, obsidian is the sharpest choice. It reads dark, disciplined and quietly serious, which suits someone who wears navy, charcoal and black more often than anything with pattern. For the design collector, sodalite is the smarter flex: it has more visual character and signals taste without shouting. The company says the P1 Perseverance is its first watch and that the line is 100% manufactured in Switzerland from 82.7% recycled materials. The 39mm case and pin buckles are made from solar stainless steel produced by Panatere SA, while the bridges and plates inside the movement use 100% recycled Grade 5 titanium developed with Chronode SA. The Pragma Caliber 1031-1 is an automatic certified chronometer to ISO 3159, with a 60-hour power reserve, 41 jewels and a 4 Hz frequency.

That matters because the price has to hold up against the story. Ace Jewelers lists the Pragma P1 Perseverance Solar Stainless Steel Granite Gray at CHF 41,200 including VAT, with a 39mm case, 10.5mm height and 50m water resistance. For a buyer shopping at this level, the appeal is not just the finish or the technical sheet. It is the combination of limited supply, stone provenance and a retail path narrow enough to make the watch feel personally assigned rather than broadly available.
