Movado Unveils New Women's Watch Collections and Curve Jewelry Line
Julianne Moore joined Movado's Soho launch of three women's watch collections and the Curve jewelry line, crafted in 18K gold vermeil for spring gifting.

Julianne Moore was at the table when Movado Brand President Margot Grinberg unveiled what the 145-year-old watchmaker is positioning as its most giftable season yet. On March 25, editors, tastemakers, and friends of the brand gathered for a seated lunch at King Restaurant in Soho, where three new women's watch collections and Curve, a jewelry line built for everyday stacking, made their official debut.
The lunch doubled as an archival showcase, with vintage pieces pulled from Movado's archives displayed alongside the new work. That juxtaposition was intentional. The Museum Bangle, Heritage 1917, and Museum Velura collections are each rooted in those archival designs, framing the launch as a continuation of the brand's heritage rather than a departure from it. Movado has been designing for women since its founding in 1881, accumulating more than 100 patents and earning placement in 20 museums worldwide.
Curve, making its official debut at the event, draws its design language directly from the brand's name. Movado means "always in motion" in Esperanto, and the collection translates that into rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces built around continuous, wave-like contours designed for effortless stacking and layering. The pieces are rendered in 18K gold vermeil over a 925 sterling-silver base, a construction that delivers the warmth and visual weight of gold at a more accessible price point than solid gold alternatives.

Moore, an Academy Award-winning actor serving as Movado's brand ambassador, put her name behind the collections directly. "I've always admired Movado for its clean, modern aesthetic and its ability to create pieces that feel both timeless and deeply personal," she said. "These new collections are beautifully crafted and thoughtfully designed — a true reflection of the brand's artistry and its commitment to celebrating women."
The launch was timed with intent. Movado framed the drop as a spring gifting play, with Mother's Day as the primary target occasion. Watches and jewelry consistently rank among the highest-engagement gift categories for that holiday, and Curve's stackable format is purpose-built for giftability: a single piece invites the recipient to keep going. For a brand whose work already lives in museum display cases, these new collections suggest Movado is equally focused on what ends up on an everyday wrist.
