Etsy Upgrades Seller Tools With Better Insights for Personalized Gift Shops
Etsy rolled out upgraded seller tools on March 30, including week-over-week trend views and targeted offer performance reporting aimed at custom gift shops.

Etsy rolled out a set of seller-tool upgrades on March 30 that could meaningfully change how custom and made-to-order shops operate, and by extension, how reliably a personalized gift actually arrives on time.
The most significant addition sits inside Marketplace Insights, where Etsy expanded its data suite to include week-over-week trend views, saved searches, and sorting options that let sellers directly compare keyword volumes and competing listings. Keyword suggestions are also improving, though the enhanced version is launching in English only initially. Sellers who can track which personalized items are gaining traction week to week are better positioned to stock materials, set accurate lead times, and keep listing details current.
The updates also introduced "Targeted offer performance" reporting, a dashboard feature Etsy is currently testing that surfaces offers sent, purchases, conversion rate, and revenue per offer in one place. Custom gift shops have historically relied on scattered data points to understand whether promotional offers actually converted browsers into buyers. That consolidated view changes the calculus considerably for high-volume shops running multiple discount campaigns at once.
On the operational side, the redesigned Shop Manager layout aims for a more intuitive workflow, and the seller listing form now supports selective autofill for shipping profiles and return policies. For personalized gift shops managing dozens of product variations, including engraved items, monogrammed apparel, and custom prints, that autofill feature reduces the repetitive manual entry that slows order processing during peak gifting seasons.

Etsy framed the changes as directly serving made-to-order sellers who need to align listing metadata with demand signals and reduce friction as they scale personalization workflows. Not every seller will see all features immediately; many are rolling out gradually or remain in beta, with Etsy continuing to iterate based on feedback.
For anyone who has experienced a personalized gift arriving late or with the wrong name engraved, the upstream cause is often a seller working with incomplete performance data and cumbersome manual processes. These updates address that gap at the source.
