Derek Hough turns baby shower table into sentimental Mother's Day gift for Hayley Erbert

Derek Hough turned a large wooden table from Hayley Erbert Hough’s baby shower venue into a Mother’s Day gift that looked more like a family heirloom than a present. Styled with succulents in the center, the table marked Hayley’s first Mother’s Day after the couple welcomed their daughter, Everley Capri Hough, on December 29, 2025.

The piece had been part of the scene at Cosette Wine Bar + Bottleshop in California, where the couple had admired it during their baby shower on November 13, 2025. That gathering was put together with help from Julianne Hough, Britt Stewart, Jessica Gee and event planner Troy Williams of Simply Troy, which made the table a direct link to one of the family’s earliest memories before Everley arrived.

Derek said the table was “massive,” adding that it took “like seven guys” to carry it through their house. He said he wanted it to preserve the memory of the shower and serve as a gathering place for family meals, growth and future memories, a practical idea that gave the gift more weight than a decorative gesture would have on its own.

The succulents added another layer of meaning. Derek linked them to life, growth and strength, which fit a couple that had previously shared they experienced a miscarriage before Everley’s birth and later described their daughter as a rainbow baby. For Hayley, the table made the holiday feel personal in a way that expensive jewelry or flowers rarely can: it carried a story, held a memory and turned a moment from pregnancy into something the family could use every day.
