New Rochelle now has an answer to the question Westchester pickleball players spent all winter asking. PickleRage opened its 42,000-square-foot, climate-controlled complex at 173 Huguenot Street on March 26, giving the county what it bills as its largest dedicated pickleball facility and adding 13 regulation courts to a region where indoor playing time has long been scarce.

The courts are built on CushionX surfaces, a cushioned, joint-friendly material that sets the setup apart from standard hard courts, and are lit by advanced LEDs alongside smart court technology that includes video recording and full livestreaming capabilities. Every court in the building can stream live, a feature that puts PickleRage well ahead of most suburban facilities on the tech curve.

The amenities extend further. Locker rooms with showers, an expanded pro shop, and three Full Swing golf simulators round out the facility, a combination that positions PickleRage as a multi-sport destination rather than a single-use court rental space.

Owners Henry Sztul and Brian Snyder, friends and self-described pickleball enthusiasts, shaped the club around filling a specific gap in the regional calendar. "We're thrilled to be a part of New Rochelle's continued downtown growth and bring our passion for pickleball to Westchester," Sztul said. He pointed to the season just passed as part of the motivation: "Pickleball provides a really great way to get out and stay active, especially after such a debilitating winter where so many of us stayed inside."

Geoffrey Jagdfeld, a certified pickleball instructor and coach developer with more than 30 years of racquet sports leadership and coaching expertise, leads all programming at the facility. His responsibilities span the full competitive and social range: leagues, tournaments, clinics, open play, and private lessons for players at every skill level.

Founding memberships are currently available at reduced rates ahead of the official grand opening celebration, which Sztul and Snyder have scheduled for early April. The club also offers tiered membership packages for players who want structured commitments alongside more casual open-play access.

PickleRage operates as a franchised indoor pickleball club, and its New Rochelle location reflects a broader shift in how operators are building out the indoor model, competing on experience and technology as much as raw court count. For Westchester players, the immediate effect is straightforward: 13 courts, year-round availability, and a facility that can record and stream every match played inside it.
