We Do Pickleball opens seven-court indoor venue in Hull industrial unit
We Do Pickleball opens a seven-court indoor venue at 30 Copenhagen Road in Hull, giving players year-round courts, coaching and social sessions with bookings now live.

A converted industrial unit in Sutton Fields has become Hull’s newest pickleball hub, with We Do Pickleball opening seven premium indoor courts at 30 Copenhagen Road, HU7 0XQ. The facility brings year-round play, coaching and drop-in sessions to a city where interest in the sport is rising.
We Do Pickleball has turned the empty unit into seven courts with high-quality surfaces and a program of Pay & Play slots, social sessions, professional coaching and structured “intro to Pickleball” group classes. Bookings are live on the venue’s website and the operator is offering 10 percent off Pay & Play bookings during February using the code FEB2026.
Founders hope the new centre will broaden access to the game. One founders’ statement said the opening marks "a major milestone in expanding year-round play for pickleball enthusiasts of all ages and abilities." Director Matt Whitaker added, "We are incredibly excited to open We Do Pickleball and share this amazing sport with our community. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people can play, improve, and connect, whether they’ve picked up a paddle once or are seasoned players."
The project progressed through planning with Hull City Council, which granted approval last month. The application drew 57 letters of support, with many residents praising the reuse of unused industrial units and the local regeneration potential the centre offers.

We Do Pickleball is an offshoot of We Do Tennis CIC, which already runs pickleball sessions in East Yorkshire and operates sites around the country. A spokesperson for the organisation said, "Pickleball is massive in America, and we’ve seen the same incredible momentum building here in the UK. We’re thrilled to be taking the next step by securing planning permission to open one of the country’s first dedicated pickleball centres." The organisation’s mission, the spokesperson added, is to "spread the word and get residents, of all ages trying this fun, inclusive, and social game."
For players new to the sport, the Lawn Tennis Association describes pickleball as a mix of tennis, badminton and table tennis, played on a court the same size as a badminton court with a shorter tennis-style net and paddles used to hit a plastic ball. That makes the game compact, social and well suited to indoor court configurations like this one.
Practical next steps: bookings are available online now for Pay & Play, social sessions, coaching and intro classes; take advantage of the FEB2026 code for a February discount on Pay & Play. For Hull players looking for reliable indoor time, early-season coaching blocks, regular social nights and a central seven-court venue are likely to reshape local pick-up play and open more options for leagues, clinics and casual sessions as demand picks up.
