Activision confirms Prop Hunt Royale for Warzone Season 03 Reloaded
A 48-player Prop Hunt Royale is coming to Rebirth Island, turning Warzone’s midseason drop into a 24v24 hide-and-seek scramble.

Forty-eight players on Rebirth Island will turn Prop Hunt Royale into pure Warzone chaos, with 24 Hunters stalking 24 Props across best-of-3 rounds. The hiding side gets 30 seconds to blend in before the hunt begins, which means every match should open with a frantic sprint to the best disguise, the safest corner, or the most ridiculous spot on one of Call of Duty’s tightest maps.
Activision has now officially confirmed Prop Hunt Royale for Warzone Season 03 Reloaded, shifting the mode from leak chatter to a real midseason feature. The setup is straightforward and built for instant spectacle: teams alternate between Hunters and Props, the action is round-based, and Rebirth Island provides the dense, compact layout that makes every footstep, jump, and bad hiding place matter. With Season 03 Reloaded expected around April 30, and the rollout window set for 9 a.m. PT, 12 p.m. ET, and 5 p.m. BST, this is arriving right in the middle of the season’s momentum.
The appeal goes beyond the novelty of a hide-and-seek mode in battle royale. Prop Hunt has already carved out a long lane across Call of Duty, appearing in Modern Warfare Remastered, Black Ops III, WWII, Black Ops 4, Black Ops Cold War, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7. Its core loop, hiding in plain sight as objects while a hunting team sweeps the map, has always worked best in maps that force constant movement and fast reads, and Rebirth Island fits that bill perfectly.
That map choice matters. Rebirth Island first arrived in December 2020 and quickly became one of Warzone’s most recognizable compact battlegrounds, so dropping a 24v24 Prop Hunt variant there gives the mode a familiar stage with enough room for absurd plays, close calls, and easy viral clips. The midseason update is also set to include Hot Pursuit on Avalon, plus new weapons and events, making Prop Hunt Royale part of a broader content drop rather than a one-off gimmick. For Warzone, that is the real hook: a familiar party mode, scaled up, on a map built for pressure, all arriving inside a packed Reloaded update.
