Black Ops 7 Season 01 Reloaded Launches With New Maps and Mode

Black Ops 7 Season 01 Reloaded goes live today at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT, bringing a wide slate of content aimed at reshaping multiplayer matches and extending Zombies play. The midseason addition lands at a time when the competitive meta was stabilizing, and players can expect new battlegrounds, a new objective format, weapon options, and narrative-driven Zombies events to change loadouts and tactics immediately.

Multiplayer receives three maps: Yakei, a new rooftop-focused 6v6 map set against a neon Japanese skyline designed for vertical engagements and tighter rooftop skirmishes; Meltdown, a remastered classic from Black Ops 2 that revives a familiar layout with modern design touches; and Fringe, a returning map remastered specifically for Black Ops 7. Those map choices mix fresh sightlines for newer players with nostalgic terrain for veterans, likely affecting weapon and perk choices in core playlists.

A new mode called Takeover debuts with this update. Takeover pits two teams of six against each other to capture shifting, moving territory rather than static control points, emphasizing dynamic objective play and coordinated rotations. Expect squads to prioritize mobility and area denial tools while experimenters test loadouts built for objective movement rather than fixed defense.

At least two new weapons arrive: the Hawker HX sniper and the Sturmwolf 45 SMG. Alongside them, Activision is returning Black Ops 6 loadout items including tacticals, lethals, and scorestreaks, which will expand customization options and potentially alter the season's combat meta as players reintroduce previously retired gear.

Zombies players get notable additions with a new survival map called Zarya Cosmodome and fresh Endgame world events, including a Wraith Wing VTOL boss encounter. These pieces add new cooperative objectives and boss mechanics that will require coordinated loadouts and strategies from squads looking to push higher rounds or complete event challenges.

Beyond seasonal content, a Fallout crossover tied to the Amazon Prime Video series arrives as part of Season 01 Reloaded. The crossover will bring themed weapon variants and event content into both Black Ops 7 and Warzone, offering crossover cosmetics and limited-time activities that connect the shooter to broader pop culture tie-ins.
