The Blundergat has arrived. Official gameplay footage for Black Ops 7 Zombies has unveiled Paradox Junction's Wonder Weapon for the first time, confirming the quad-barreled shotgun as the map's signature powerhouse and revealing its upgraded form, the Sundergat, which unleashes Soul Wrencher attacks against the undead.

In its base form, the Blundergat functions as what one YouTube commentator described as "a potent shotgun with four barrels." The mechanical twist that separates it from a standard scattergun: a single shot fires all four barrels simultaneously, sending pellets out in a horizontal spread rather than the radial pattern most Zombies players might expect. The damage, per the same breakdown, is massive, and the weapon "rips the undead apart with uncanny ease." Anyone who ran the original Mob of the Dead will recognize the lineage immediately.

The Sundergat upgrade is where things get genuinely interesting. The official reveal confirms the upgraded form delivers Soul Wrencher attacks, and commentary from a YouTube breakdown adds visual and mechanical context: the Sundergat appears as a blue variant and, according to that analysis, seems inspired by the afterlife shield from Blood of the Dead, with the ability to "suck up the souls of those characters." The commentator put it directly: "This otherworldly blunder bust can blast the souls right out of enemies." Whether an Easter egg step is required to trigger that soul-collection mechanic remains unconfirmed, though the same breakdown speculated that one almost certainly exists. The exact upgrade path has not been detailed in official materials.

Paradox Junction itself presents some specific hazards worth knowing before dropping in. Minions of the warden can be taken down with quick firing, but they leave behind a dangerous radioactive explosion on death. Given that Paradox Junction is described as a small map, elite enemies will compound those hazards fast, and keeping the round moving efficiently will matter more than usual.

The map launches today, March 11, and the reward structure is substantial for players willing to put in the work. Completing the main quest earns a new Blundergat Wonder Weapon skin, a calling card, and 10,000 XP. Finishing the Paradox Junction Mastery Challenge adds another calling card and 5,000 XP on top of that. Collecting all intel including audio logs, documents, and artifacts nets a third calling card and another 10,000 XP. Players who complete the main quest before Directed Mode becomes available will also receive a unique calling card variant, making a strong early case for tackling the Easter egg without the safety net. Cursed Mode launches with the map as well, available from day one with no guidance provided.

The Sundergat's upgrade name appears in official materials as "Sundergat," though commentary transcriptions render it variously as "sundat" and "sundgat." The official spelling should be considered definitive until developer materials clarify further.
