Call of Duty Season 3 Week 4 challenges add 24 fresh tasks, X9 Maverick Javelin barrel reward
Week 4 is live with 24 challenges, but only six are enough to earn the X9 Maverick Javelin barrel before Season 3 Reloaded lands April 30.

The Week 4 grind is live now, and the key number is six: players only need to clear any six of the 24 fresh challenges to unlock the X9 Maverick Javelin Assembly barrel attachment before the April 30 Reloaded update lands. With the reward revealed in the Season 3 content blog and the mid-season clock already ticking, this is the cleanest shot yet at a new loadout piece that matters across Black Ops 7 and Warzone.
The challenge slate is split evenly, six apiece across Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, which makes the fastest route obvious. The easiest clears are the tasks that fit naturally into regular play, especially Multiplayer objectives like score milestones, double-kill medals, pistol eliminations, Akimbo eliminations, scorestreak activations, and kills while using Active Camo or Mute Field. Zombies also offers a quick lane for players who already rotate that mode, with Legendary-rarity eliminations, special-round survival, Akimbo pistol kills, Bloodbath medals, field-upgrade kills, and perk purchases all tied to standard survival flow rather than a narrow one-off setup.
Endgame and Warzone are more situational, but they still give players practical overlap if they queue with a plan. Endgame asks for Command Center clears, Exotic Weapon or Skill Case loot, pistol or Special Weapon eliminations, Power earned in a single match, and ability-based eliminations. Warzone leans into Black Ops Royale objectives such as killing Zombies in Cradle Breaches, reviving teammates, upgrading weapons, and surviving tactical effects. That mix means players can bank progress in the modes they already main instead of forcing a full detour through the whole set.
Season 3’s timing makes the reward even more relevant. The season launched on April 2 at 9 a.m. PT with nine new and returning Multiplayer maps, Endgame content, a new Verdansk point of interest, six new weapons, and a limited-time free-to-play window for Endgame. Now Week 4 arrives one week before Season 03 Reloaded, scheduled for April 30 at 9 a.m. PT, so this challenge batch is doing exactly what weekly live-service content is meant to do: pull players back in, keep progression moving, and hand out a meaningful attachment for a quarter of the full task count. Sportskeeda describes the X9 Maverick Javelin Assembly as a barrel that launches a sharp spear capable of piercing enemies, which is the kind of reward that makes a six-challenge sprint worth finishing before the next content drop.
