The next Call of Duty reveal may be getting close if the latest Black Ops 7 file changes are any guide. Pre-order assets tied to the next annual game are now turning up in the Black Ops 7 ecosystem and the Call of Duty app, a classic signal that storefront prep is already underway before the marketing push begins.
That matters because Activision has already shown how quickly it can move from confirmation to full rollout. Black Ops 7 was publicly confirmed on June 9, 2025, described as the first-ever consecutive release in the Black Ops series, set in 2035 and more than 40 years after Black Ops 6. Activision followed that with a worldwide reveal in August 2025, then launched the game on November 14, 2025. One leaker then doubled down and said more details were coming “very soon,” which is the kind of language that usually heats up when a reveal window is opening.
