Warzone Black Ops Royale Patch Adds Win Streak Tracker, Fixes Bugs

Black Ops Royale launched on March 13 to mixed reactions, and Raven Software didn't waste any time responding. A small patch dropped the same day, adding a Win Streak progress tracker to the mode and knocking out several bugs that were already souring the experience.

The bug fix list covers four specific issues. Spectating a teammate who used a Trauma Kit was triggering a red blink on their health indicator, which was causing unnecessary panic in the late game. Players who got downed while wingsuiting were losing their HUD elements entirely after being revived, leaving them flying blind at the worst possible moment. The Polaris vehicle had a nasty one too: using the Climb to Roof feature was ejecting anyone sitting in the rear seat. And the Reactive Armor Perk was failing to regenerate armor after a revive, which essentially gutted one of its core functions in a mode where you're already playing without a loadout.

The patch also reportedly increased activity reveal range, though that specific change wasn't detailed in Raven's published notes. Sources also confirm improvements were made to the no-loadout mode itself, though the exact scope of those changes hasn't been spelled out in the official changelist.

The mixed day-one reception to Black Ops Royale isn't being ignored. Raven has confirmed they're working on expanding how you can play the mode, and Solos are coming to private games soon. Those private lobbies won't just be for fun either; Raven intends to use the data collected from early private games to build toward a Solos launch in Ranked Play.
