Aquila Catamarans previewed the Aquila 46 Yacht on February 18, 2026, presenting the model as the intended successor to the Aquila 44 that launched 12 years ago and sold more than 200 units. The company positions the mid-40-foot package as a market sweet spot for cruising couples and coastal cruisers, and the new 46 joins a broader rollout that includes Coupe and sail-focused 46 entries in Aquila’s model navigation.

The preview lists traditional yacht dimensions and tanks: LOA 47 feet, 2 inches; beam 23 feet, 3 inches; draft 4 feet, 1 inch; air draft 19 feet, 5 inches; displacement 45,720 pounds; fuel capacity 476 gallons; water capacity 211 gallons. The Boatmart preview page contains a specifications line showing "Engines: Twin 480 hp Volvo Penta" in the spec block while the same text describes "Twin Volvo Penta 320 hp D4 diesels" generating 18 knots at cruise and burning approximately two gallons per nautical mile for a range of about 215 miles with a 10 percent reserve. Those two engine and performance figures appear on the same preview page and have not been reconciled by the manufacturer in the published material.

Aquila is offering optional foil technology and a high-performance Coupe variant. The preview describes the optional system this way: "Aquila Hydro Glide (AHG) uses a foil to generate a softer ride and create better fuel economy. While she doesn’t fully 'fly,' about one-third of the boat’s weight rises for a more fluid experience underway." Independent testing of the 46 Coupe delivers much higher speed and consumption numbers: hull No. 1 hit just over 42 knots top speed, cruised at 33 knots while burning 54 gallons per hour, and produced a calculated range of 338 nautical miles with a 10 percent reserve. The Coupe pairs a double-stepped hull and semi-foiling capability with cockpit entertainment features including bow lounge seating, stern loungers and a Kenyon grill, and the review praised a new helm: "Its digital display remains centered no matter which way the skipper turns the wheel, with paddle-style buttons on each side to control any onboard function related to the National Marine Electronics Association. Hull No. 1 was set up with the music control settings on the left and the ship’s horn on the right, saving the helmsman from having to fumble for switches on the dash."

Aquila manufactures under the Sino Eagle Group umbrella and is led by Frank Xiong. On the company’s sail program announcement Xiong said, "We've proven ourselves in power catamarans, and now we're leveraging the deep sailing experience of our team to enter this market with purpose and precision." Aquila has announced three sailing catamaran models, listed as 44ES, 50ES and 63ES, and has been showing sail prototypes in the 2025-2026 boat show circuit while listing future arrivals such as a 44 Sail in 2026 and a 65 Sail arriving in 2027. The brand also noted dealer expansion in France and Thailand in late 2024 as it broadens retail reach.

Online listings tied to the Aquila preview page include a new 2026 Aquila 46 Yacht listed at $0 alongside used Aquila prices such as a 2025 Aquila 44 Yacht at $1,200,000. Before buyers commit, the most immediate open items are clarification of which engine and trim correspond to the 320 hp and 480 hp figures, reconciliation of fuel capacity versus the quoted range math, and confirmation of AHG availability and package pricing. Aquila’s 46 presents a clear bid to marry power-cat performance and cruising comfort for couples, but final purchasing decisions will hinge on the factory clarifications of engine, range and foil-option data.
