Bosch launches fully automatic countertop espresso machines offering custom barista-quality
Bosch rolled out countertop fully automatic espresso machines, launching 300 and 800 Series models in a May 16, 2024 Irvine, Calif. release with an official price band of $699–$2,299.

Bosch Home Appliances announced an all-new line of fully automatic countertop espresso machines in a May 16, 2024 press release from Irvine, Calif., saying the machines would be available the same day through Bosch’s U.S. online store and select retailers nationwide and listing an official price range of $699 to $2,299. Hannah Kühner, Head of Consumer Products Region North America at Bosch, said, “We saw a great opportunity to bring our coffee machines to the countertop space with the launch of Bosch’s fully automatic espresso machines,” and “The new machines bring maximum taste with minimum effort to coffee lovers, featuring the award-winning quality and innovation that Bosch is known for.”
The launch materials describe availability of the 300 Series and 800 Series at debut, while independent coverage and product tables expand the family to include a mid-tier 500 Series and, in one review, a line of seven distinct machines. Model numbers recorded across coverage include TIU20307 for the 300 Series, TPU40109 for the 500 Series VeroCafe, and conflicting 800 Series SKUs listed as TQU60307 and TQU60703; a Reviewed tester specifically cites the 800 Series VeroCafe TQU60703 and notes an Amazon listing at $2,399 for that SKU.
Series-specific features vary by source. The 300 Series is described as an entry-level, simplified unit with a touch control panel offering five drink options and an in-cup milk frother; Coffeedant lists a 300 Series price of $900. The 500 Series appears as a middle ground with a Cappuccinatore milk module, color TFT plus button interface, a Piano Black finish option, a memo function for user presets, and a double-cup function that grinds fresh beans twice to extract two drinks in parallel; Coffeedant lists the 500 Series at $1,099 and names model TPU40109 in product tables. The 800 Series is presented as the flagship with a 5-inch full-color touchscreen offering more than 35 customizable beverages, a removable integrated milk tank or carafe for back-to-back drinks, and higher-end options such as cold brew capability and smart connectivity as attributed by Coffeedant.
Technical claims from reviewers and analysts add detail but differ by source. Coffeedant reports a ceramic disc grinder feeding a removable brewing unit that applies 15 bars of pressure and a Milk Express Plus frothing system that froths dairy or plant-based milk simultaneously while extracting espresso. Reviewed’s hands-on testing of both a 300 Series model and the 800 Series TQU60703 highlights built-in grinders, milk frothers, removable water tanks, and intuitive control panels, while cautioning that convenience sometimes trumps craft and that steep price tags may suit offices or shared workspaces more than all homes.

Market context is explicit in the coverage: Coffeedant frames Bosch’s rollout as a strategic play into post-pandemic consumer willingness to spend $1,000 or more to replace café visits, and warns that 500 Series pricing may sit above value leaders while the 800 Series aims at Jura and Miele buyers. The 500 Series double-cup extraction is noted as a deliberate feature to address morning-rush households upgrading from pod machines.
Bosch’s press contact for the launch is Julia Henry, Home Appliances, Director, Corporate Communications and Government Affairs, at Julia.Henry@bshg.com. Buyers and shop-floor buyers should verify current MSRPs, exact SKUs, and which features map to which models with Bosch or a retailer before purchase, since official materials list $699–$2,299 while third-party listings and analyses report alternative price points ranging from $900 to $2,899 and conflicting 800 Series SKUs.
