CalPaws K9 Rescue Brings Adoptable Puppies to Joya Yoga This March
CalPaws volunteers turned a planned rest weekend into a puppy adoption pop-up at Joya Yoga in Livermore, bringing over a dozen dogs on March 14.

What was supposed to be a quiet weekend for CalPaws K9 Rescue turned into something else entirely. Volunteers, described by the rescue as "always itching to get pups adopted and make room to save more lives," organized a last-minute pop-up adoption event at Joya Yoga in Livermore on March 14, 2026, bringing over a dozen puppies and adult dogs to the studio floor.
The event, listed on CalPaws' events calendar under the title "Joya Yoga Adoption Event - Pop up~," invited anyone in the Livermore area to drop in, meet adoptable animals, and, as the rescue put it, "just stop by to hang out and soak up the puppy love." Attendees were also encouraged to sign up for a class or two at Joya Yoga while they were there.
CalPaws credited the impromptu gathering entirely to its volunteer base. "This weekend was supposed to be a no-event weekend… but our incredible volunteers had other plans," the rescue wrote in its event announcement. "Our volunteers truly are the best and because of them, more lives get saved every single weekend."

The rescue also took a moment to acknowledge the studio's hospitality. "We are so grateful for Joya Yoga and their amazing team of Doggie lovers for welcoming us with open arms," CalPaws wrote, a nod to the kind of community partnership that makes pop-up doga events possible in the first place.
CalPaws K9 Rescue regularly uses its events calendar to publicize adoption fairs and fundraisers throughout the region and maintains an active presence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for those looking to follow future events and available animals.
