Vegas Roots Rescue hosts four-hour puppy yoga adoption event in Henderson

Vegas Roots Rescue stretched puppy yoga into a four-hour adoption pop-up at Engel & Völkers Las Vegas - Henderson, giving families, first-timers and casual drop-ins far more room to spend time with adoptable dogs than a standard one-hour class. The Sunday, June 14 event ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1371 Raiders Way in Henderson, Nevada, and the listing marked it as all ages and in person.

The event page pitched the class as low-pressure and easy to join. No experience was needed, and guests were told to bring a mat, a smile and a good vibe. A June 8 social post added another layer, saying the rescue was bringing adoptable puppies and kittens and listing three start times inside the four-hour window: 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. That structure made the gathering feel more like a flexible drop-in than a tightly scripted studio flow.

The rescue angle stayed at the center of the format. Puppies ran around during the class, and the whole setup was built to let attendees relax with them while also seeing which animals were available for adoption. Petfinder says Vegas Roots Rescue’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home vulnerable animals by working with volunteers, foster homes, shelters, local veterinarians and facilities, and the Henderson puppy yoga event fit that mission neatly.

Vegas Roots Rescue has leaned on the format before. A 2025 Henderson event was promoted as an all-levels class, with Gloria Woods, an Engel & Völkers agent and certified yoga instructor, leading the session. The rescue also teamed with Yoga for Life on a May 31, 2025 puppy-yoga and adoptable-dogs event in Las Vegas, showing that these wellness-and-adoption pop-ups have become a recurring tool for outreach.

The Eventbrite page for the June 14 class also showed 65 followers, 10 total events and 581 total attendees, a sign that the rescue has built real traction around these community events. In Henderson, the bigger draw was not just puppy yoga itself, but the rare chance to stay for hours, meet the dogs and let the adoption side of the day unfold at an unhurried pace.
