For drummers who have hauled cymbal stands through club back doors, up rehearsal-room stairs and onto a flight case scale, Mapex’s StreetLite lands with a simple promise: a full hardware pack that weighs 26.5 pounds without feeling stripped down.

The line was announced out of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, with Mapex dating the release to June 1, 2026. StreetLite is built around classic flatbase styling, but the pitch is practical rather than nostalgic. The company positions it for ultimate portability and performance, the kind of rig that makes sense for fly dates, small stages and players who are constantly moving between shows.

The pack is sold as a 4-piece bundle, with two straight cymbal stands, one hi-hat stand and one snare stand. Mapex says the hardware was designed to streamline setup and cut friction at every step, and the details back that up. The hi-hat stand includes SafeKeep storage for cleaner transport and setup, while the cymbal stands use 3-tier construction with gearless tilters, a combination aimed at quicker positioning and smoother adjustments when time is tight.

On the snare side, Mapex adds SONIClear snare claws, which the company says are meant to improve resonance and clarity while keeping the drum stable. That balance matters here. StreetLite is chasing convenience, but it is clearly trying not to feel like compromise hardware. The footprint stays compact, the setup looks fast, and the line is meant to fit the needs of rehearsal-room minimalists as easily as bar-band drummers trying to keep load-ins manageable.

Jeff Mulvihill, Mapex brand manager, framed the line in direct terms: “This is hardware for the drummer on the move.” The rest of the package follows that logic, including an ergonomic backpack-style case with adjustable straps that turns the carry from a clumsy armful into something more organized and less punishing on the way to the gig.

StreetLite is for players who want the bag to feel lighter, the setup to move faster and the hardware to disappear into the background once the backbeat starts. In a world where every extra stand shows up before the first downbeat, 26.5 pounds is the point.
