Wizards of the Coast reveals Dungeon Masters season 2 cast and desert campaign

Wizards of the Coast has lined up Jasmine Bhullar, Devora Wilde, Neil Newbon, Mayanna Berrin and Christian Navarro for Dungeon Masters season 2, a nine-episode Arcana Unleashed showcase set to begin July 8 on D&D’s YouTube channel at 6:30 PM PT. The second campaign in the official actual-play anthology series moves the table into the Anauroch Desert, where the party will chase a story built around the fallout from Netheril’s fall and the collapse of the magic sealed behind it.

The cast gives the season an immediate hook. Bhullar returns as host and Dungeon Master, while Wilde, Newbon, Berrin and Navarro bring names already recognizable to D&D and video-game audiences. That kind of lineup makes the show feel less like a rules announcement and more like a live preview of how the new material actually plays when it hits a real table.

D&D’s campaign page ties the season directly to Arcana Unleashed by building the characters around four of the supplement’s new options: an Aasimar Warrior of the Mystic Arts Monk, a Goliath Arcane Archer Fighter, a Human Transmuter Wizard and a High Elf Vestige Warlock. That matters because the audience is not just seeing subclass names on a page, but watching them function in combat, exploration and roleplay before the book is in players’ hands.

The setting pushes the same approach. The Order of the Ninth Quill is dropped into a desert full of dangerous magic left behind by the fall of the Netherese Empire, and the barrier holding that power is starting to fail. D&D says the party must also contend with the Bringers of the Cosmic Dawn and the Red Wizards of Thay, giving the campaign a race-against-time structure that fits the Forgotten Realms’ high-magic action style.

The rollout continues a pattern Wizards has already established with Dungeon Masters. Campaign 1 premiered on April 22 with episodes 1 and 2 and drew from Ravenloft: The Horrors Within, along with a Play-Along Pack that let fans bring show content to their own tables. Wizards has also tied the series to its broader seasonal publishing plan, which includes a Season of Horror and a Season of Magic, with Arcana Unleashed positioned inside the latter.

With season 2, Dungeon Masters is doing more than promoting a book. It is turning actual play into a live character sheet for the next release, and the table is where Arcana Unleashed is set to make its first real roll.
