Foil Surf Race League Opens 2026 Tour in Cocoa Beach March 6-8

Powered by presenting partner Armstrong Foils, the Foil Surf Race League will open its 2026 three-stop tour in Cocoa Beach March 6-8 at Shepard Park, with over $10,000 in prize money and foil gear on offer and registration open now until Thu, Mar 5, 2026 • 9:00pm. The FSRL event page lists the north side of Shepard Park as the event setup and instructs competitors to register in advance and arrive early for parking.

Friday March 6 begins with a sponsors demo day at Shepard Park from 10:00am to 4:00pm, open to the public for ride, play and practice; competitors must check in at Good Breeze, 110 Dixie Lane, Cocoa Beach, by 6:00pm and attend the shop party from 6:00pm to 9:00pm to finalize registration, pick up jerseys and handle last-minute gear pickups. The FSRL site also promises live art at the shop on a VW Bus during demo day.

Saturday March 7 starts with a Riders Meeting at 7:30am on the beach - the FSRL site instructs everyone to be ready with gear assembled - and races are scheduled to run from 8:00am to 4:00pm, beginning immediately after the meeting. Saturday evening features an after party and raffle drawing from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Twisted Tides, 211 E Cocoa Beach Causeway, per the event schedule.

Sunday March 8 repeats the 7:30am Riders Meeting and moves into Expression Sessions from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the site noting, "Heats start at 8:00am sharp. Strapped & strapless divisions. Order depends on conditions." Awards are set for 4:30pm on the Red Bull podium on the beach following the Expression Sessions, and FSRL warns that times may shift slightly based on conditions with official announcements posted in the event WhatsApp group.

Event formats listed across FSRL and promotional posts include Surf Race, Foil Assist Surf Race, Expression Session, 1v1 Pump Race, Wake Freestyle, E-Foil Race, Pro SUP Race, strapped and strapless freestyle divisions, and best trick categories for strapped and women strapped. The Foiling Magazine describes the 1v1 format: "The FSRL 1v1 format is a PWC assisted foil race that can take place in the ocean or fresh water. It puts two riders head-to-head against each other. Riders complete the course by pumping their foils and first to cross the finish line wins."

The Cocoa Beach stop is the first of a three-stop USA series: Atlanta Foil Fest at Lake Lanier June 12-14 and Orlando Foil Fest at Grills Lakeside, Lake Fairview August 7-9. FSRL was founded in 2020 by Brian Grubb and Billy Bosch, and The Foiling Magazine frames the 2026 tour as combining race and freestyle disciplines to push progression in competitive foiling.
