The Salt Lake City Tattoo Expo made its 21st run at the Salt Palace Convention Center last weekend, filling Exhibit Hall 5 on the west side of the building with over 500 artists representing more than 150 studios from across the country and around the world.

Presented by Tuccanane, LLC, the three-day event opened Friday, March 6 at 3:00 PM and ran until 11:00 PM, with Saturday and Sunday both starting at noon. Sunday wrapped at 8:00 PM. The expo's single entry and exit point was Hall 5's west-side entrance facing The Delta Center Arena across 300 West, a logistical detail the organizers emphasized in advance materials.

The floor covered the full range of tattoo styles, with American Traditional, Black and Gray, Fine Line, Realism, and Japanese all represented. For geometric and fine line collectors in particular, the concentration of 500-plus artists under one roof made the expo one of the denser artist markets available outside of major coastal conventions. Organizers had billed it as "one of the most prestigious" three-day events in the country, and the western U.S. regional designation has held since the convention's early editions, with past events documented back to 2005.

Anatomy Tattoo brought a full crew, with artists Tomma and Drew tattooing throughout the weekend at the Mortal Emblem and Lombard booths. Counter staff Sisi, Jayden, Shy, and Jazzy handled bookings and walk-up inquiries across all three days. The crew's advance guidance echoed the event's own ticketing advisory: "If you're thinking about getting tattooed at the event, it's usually best to reach out in advance to talk ideas and availability, or come early each day for walk-up opportunities."

Day tickets were priced at $25, with a full-weekend pass available for $50. Online sales were handled through 24tix ahead of the event, while the door accepted cash only. The venue maintained a firm policy against Motorcycle Club Colors inside the Salt Palace.

With past editions stretching back two decades, the expo has built one of the longer continuous track records of any tattoo convention in the region.
