Losing managed proxy support breaks NUI, txAdmin, and player-facing APIs overnight; here's the exact six-step checklist to migrate cleanly without downtime.

Running a FiveM server without a managed reverse proxy is entirely doable, but only if you approach the cutover with discipline. The Nucleus-style `*.users.cfx.re` service has been a quiet workhorse for thousands of community servers, bundling automatic HTTPS, DNS, and endpoint proxying into something most operators never had to think about. The moment that convenience disappears, every component that depended on it, from txAdmin's web panel to NUI resource loading to player-facing JSON endpoints, becomes your direct responsibility. This guide walks through the migration in the order it needs to happen.
Know What You're Actually Proxying
Before touching a single config file, document every HTTP endpoint your server exposes. The obvious ones are `/info.json`, `/players.json`, and `/dynamic.json`, which server browsers and third-party tools poll constantly. Less obvious are NUI asset endpoints, custom API routes built into server-side resources, and txAdmin itself, which runs its own web interface on your server's primary port (commonly 30120 by default, though many operators split it onto a dedicated management port).
Write down the internal port for each service, any custom paths, and which external tools, Discord bots, webhooks, or monitoring scripts depend on them. This inventory isn't busywork: it's the only way to know whether your new proxy is correctly forwarding everything before you cut DNS over. The managed proxy's biggest operational contribution wasn't proxying itself; it was automatic HTTPS. Whatever replacement you choose, certificate management has to be solved from day one. Letting a certificate lapse post-migration is one of the most common avoidable failures operators run into.
TLS Validation Before You Flip DNS
In-game browsers in FiveM enforce secure contexts. If a NUI resource is served over HTTP, or if your proxy presents a self-signed or expired certificate for the domain clients are connecting through, those resources will be blocked entirely. Players won't see a graceful error; the UI will simply not render, and the complaints will come in immediately.
Test the full certificate chain on your staging setup before cutover. Check for mixed-content issues, where a page loads over HTTPS but pulls in sub-resources over HTTP. Staging and Load Verification

- Move txAdmin to a dedicated port with IP allowlisting so it's never reachable through the public-facing proxy.
