Alesong Brewing & Blending used its spring 2026 release to show where it is still willing to invest: mixed culture, barrel character, fruit, and club-only scarcity. At a Blender’s Circle members party at the brewery just south of Eugene, Oregon, the Southern Willamette Valley producer rolled out French 75, Moon on Their Wings, Cherry Decadence and Traditions, with three of the four beers now headed to store shelves across Alesong’s distribution footprint.

That split matters. Traditions stays locked to the club, while the rest of the lineup moves beyond the tasting room and into retail, giving the brewery a wider reach without giving up the small-batch feel that has defined its work since it was founded in 2015. Alesong describes itself as a boutique, artisan brewery, winery and cidery specializing in barrel-aged and Belgian-inspired beers, and this release reads like a clean example of that identity holding firm in a tougher market.

French 75 is the clearest signal of the brewery’s direction. The beer is built as a dry French-style saison fermented with brettanomyces, then aged in Old Tom gin barrels from Oregon-based Ransom Spirits and conditioned on fresh lemon zest. Alesong previously described an earlier version of the beer as spending nearly nine months in those barrels, picking up citrus, juniper and peppery notes, and the new release follows that same playbook of layered aroma and restrained acidity. The cocktail inspiration is obvious, but the beer stays firmly in Alesong’s lane: bright, herbal, barrel-shaped and meant for drinkers who want more than simple fruit or sweetness.

Ransom’s Old Tom gin adds another local and historical thread. The gin was developed with historian, author and mixologist David Wondrich, and Ransom describes it as a pre-Prohibition-style gin built on a malted-barley base with botanical infusion. That makes the barrel choice feel less decorative and more structural, the kind of decision that gives Alesong’s blending program its edge.

Alesong’s Blender’s Circle keeps that ecosystem tight. Members get first access to each quarter’s releases, exclusive club blends, early tickets to events and complimentary release parties, and the program once again functioned as both a sales channel and a community gatekeeper for the spring launch. A Portland member pickup is set for Thursday, May 21, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Loyal Legion in Southeast Portland, extending the release beyond Eugene while keeping the club-first model intact.
