Arkansas Trails Brewing opens new outdoor-themed taproom near Rogers

Arkansas Trails Brewing Co. has opened a new taproom on Arkansas 12 near Dream Valley Road, and the concept is built to feel more like an Ozarks day trip than a generic brewery stop. The space is centered on Arkansas outdoors, families and Ozark hospitality, giving the Rogers-area taproom a clear sense of place from the start.

That identity shows up in the beer and the menu as much as in the branding. The company says it specializes in “craft beers inspired by scenic outdoor adventures” and uses locally sourced ingredients. It also ties the taproom to Sims Smokehouse BBQ, which it describes as a local favorite since 2012, and promotes the venue as “Trail-Inspired Brews | MTB Hub | Slow Smoked BBQ,” a pitch that aims squarely at cyclists, hikers and families as well as regular craft beer drinkers.

The opening took longer than the brewery first expected. Arkansas Trails said on social media that it was originally aiming for a March 2026 grand opening, but construction delays pushed back the schedule. The brewery later said it was officially opening Saturday, August 1, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., turning the taproom launch into a delayed but visible milestone for the business.

The location adds to the strategy. A Benton County planning report dated Jan. 24, 2025 described the project as a remodeling of an existing building into a craft brewery, showing the Rogers site had been in motion long before the doors opened. In a market where taprooms already compete for attention, Arkansas Trails is leaning on the Ozarks, outdoor recreation and local food to make the building itself part of the attraction.

That approach fits the broader Northwest Arkansas beer scene. A June 14, 2024 Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette podcast episode on brewery trends and an April 19, 2023 Arkansas Times article both placed Northwest Arkansas at the center of the state’s craft beer growth. In Rogers, Arkansas Trails is trying to stand out by treating place as the product, not just the backdrop, and by turning trail culture into a taproom identity people can walk into.
