Brooklyn FC and Threes Brewing Team Up for Golden Goal Light Lager

Threes Brewing and Brooklyn Football Club officially released Golden Goal, a collaborative light lager brewed to ride alongside Brooklyn FC's arrival in competitive play, with the beer debuting at a fan event at Threes' Gowanus outpost on February 27.

The beer clocks in at 5% ABV and lands in the American lager category: bright, crisp, and built around refreshing lime and starfruit notes with a clean finish. One early Untappd drinker, user kburn45, described it as "nice and easy drinking" with "soft golden malts, little floral and noble spice" and called it "very balanced." At that sessionability level, it's the kind of lager you can run through comfortably for a full 90 minutes of soccer without falling off your stool by the final whistle.

The cans carry Brooklyn FC branding wrapped around iconic Brooklyn skyline elements, which Threes and the club are billing as a legitimate keepsake rather than a throwaway co-brand play. Jamie Terrell, Brooklyn FC's Director of Partnerships, framed the collaboration in characteristically borough-proud terms: "As Brooklyn's professional soccer club, we always want to support people who make our borough special. And what's more special than a delicious beer crafted right here in Brooklyn?"

Golden Goal is available now at all Threes Brewing locations, including the Gowanus and Greenpoint spots, and has already spread to a handful of neighborhood bars across the borough. The Highbury Pub in Ditmas Park, Black Horse Pub in South Slope, and Paddy's in Park Slope are all carrying it. The timing lines up directly with Brooklyn FC's men's inaugural USL Championship season opener, which went down March 8 against Indy Eleven at Maimonides Park in Coney Island, and the women's team's spring home opener March 7 against DC Power FC at the same venue.

With seven total check-ins logged on Untappd since release and distribution already across multiple Brooklyn neighborhoods, Golden Goal is exactly the kind of low-barrier lager that works as a gateway for sports fans who don't normally seek out craft beer, while still giving regulars something sessionable and locally rooted to reach for on match day.
