Ludington Brrrewfest Jan. 31 Aims to Raise $99,700 for Amphitheater
Ludington Brrrewfest on Jan. 31 will raise $99,700 to rebuild Ludington State Park's amphitheater, upgrading the stage and seating for community events.

Friends of the Ludington State Park will direct proceeds from the 11th annual Pure Ludington Brrrewfest toward a $99,700 project to rebuild the park’s amphitheater, event organizers say. The work planned with 2026 funds includes replacing the concrete stage, installing a stage covering and renovating seating to accommodate up to 500 people.
The winter festival will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 at Legacy Plaza and brings together more than 20 Michigan breweries showcasing beers, meads and ciders. Participating producers include Jamesport Brewing Company, Ludington Bay Brewing Company, Starving Artist Brewery and Big Hart Brewing, among others. The gathering offers a chance for local brewers to present seasonal releases and for attendees to sample styles they may not see on tap at home.
Attendees can purchase tasting tokens and receive a commemorative glass as part of the festival experience. Local food vendors will be on hand to pair with pours, and local entertainment rounds out the program. A highlight for beer fans will be the collaboration stout, Hamlin Horchata BBA Stout, which is being aged in Iron Fish bourbon barrels and was developed specifically for the festival.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite, with pre-sale pricing running through Jan. 30. Advance sales help organizers estimate attendance and support logistics at Legacy Plaza, while also maximizing the dollars that will go toward the amphitheater project. The festival’s combination of tasting tokens and commemorative glass gives visitors both a sampling experience and a keepsake that reflects community support.
For Ludington and the surrounding area, the amphitheater renovation promises practical benefits beyond aesthetics. A replaced concrete stage and a roofed stage will improve sound and weather resilience, making outdoor concerts, theater productions and park programs more reliable throughout the season. Seating for up to 500 people will expand the park’s capacity to host regional acts and larger community events, which could in turn draw more visitors and revenue to local businesses.
The Pure Ludington Brrrewfest offers value both to beer lovers and to residents who use Ludington State Park. By buying a ticket, sampling local meads and ciders, or simply showing up for the entertainment, attendees will be directly supporting tangible park improvements. Expect a lively crowd, seasonal pours and the knowledge that this year’s pint or pour is helping rebuild a key community venue.
