Four Labubu dolls worth $2,000 stolen from downtown Menlo Park office
Four Labubu collectibles and their clothing, valued at about $2,000, were taken from an office on the 600 block of Oak Grove Avenue in downtown Menlo Park.

Menlo Park police say someone entered an office in the 600 block of Oak Grove Avenue and stole four Labubu toys and their clothes, with the total loss estimated at about $2,000. Officers responded at about 7 p.m. on Feb. 25 after the victim reported the theft, the Menlo Park Police Department said.
Nicole Acker, a Menlo Park Police Department spokesperson, said investigators found no signs of forced entry and that no arrests have been made. Acker also said police do not know what types or designs of Labubus were taken and that officers have not identified what kind of business operates out of the affected office.
The four stolen items were described in police reports only as Labubu toys and clothes, valued together at about $2,000. Menlo Park detectives are treating the incident as a theft from a commercial office; the department logged the response to the 600 block of Oak Grove Avenue at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Labubu are collectible plush figures sold by Pop Mart, typically packaged in blind boxes and commonly retailing for between $20 and $30 per box, The Almanac reported. Collectors should note that limited edition or rare Labubu designs have fetched over five figures on secondary markets, a factor that can raise the stakes when groups of figures are taken from offices or private collections.

The article published with The Almanac included a photograph credited to Declan Sun via Unsplash and noted the pictured Labubus are not the ones reported stolen in downtown Menlo Park. Police have not released photographs or identifying details of the four items taken, and no breakdown of the $2,000 estimate by individual figure was provided.
Menlo Park Police continue to investigate the Feb. 25 incident; as of the latest update, Acker said there are no arrests and key details about the stolen Labubus remain unknown. Collectors and local businesses with surveillance on Oak Grove Avenue who may have footage from Feb. 25 around 7 p.m. can contact the Menlo Park Police Department to share information.
