Secrets of Strixhaven lands with a Commander pitch that is easy to understand and hard to ignore: each deck is a full 100-card ready-to-play list, and each one packs 10 new-to-Magic cards. That means the release is not just a pile of reprints for the binder. It is a real entry point for players who want to sleeve up something fresh on day one, with two foil commanders, 98 non-foil cards, 10 double-sided tokens, a reference card, and a deck box in every product.

Wizards of the Coast has the Commander decks set for April 24, 2026, alongside Secrets of Strixhaven itself. The five lists are Silverquill Influence, Prismari Artistry, Witherbloom Pestilence, Lorehold Spirit, and Quandrix Unlimited. The card image gallery went live on April 10, giving buyers the last clear look at the product before launch. For anyone deciding whether to preorder or wait for singles, that window matters: the deck lists are now public, and the release date is fixed.

The best out-of-box identities are the main selling point here. The college names do a lot of the work, and the original 2021 Strixhaven release followed the same model with five Commander decks, one for each college. That makes Secrets of Strixhaven feel familiar in the best way, because each list is built to point players toward a distinct lane rather than a generic pile of value cards. Silverquill Influence, Prismari Artistry, Witherbloom Pestilence, Lorehold Spirit, and Quandrix Unlimited all read like sharply separated Commander experiences, which is exactly what multi-deck releases need when players are choosing between buying one deck or chasing all five.

There is also broader play value beyond Commander tables. Wizards says the new Secrets of Strixhaven Commander cards with the SOC set code are legal in Commander, Legacy, and Vintage, while the release also includes Mystical Archive cards with the SOA set code. Combined with more than 300 Standard-legal cards in the set as a whole, the Commander product sits inside a much larger release rather than floating beside it. For buyers, that gives the decks a simple appeal: immediate playability, fresh cardboard, and enough new material to justify a serious look before April 24 hits.
