Alternative Armies’ loyalty pot has become a sizeable in-store credit: “As of the end of January 2026 there are just over 600,000 points which have been earned on purchases which have not been redeemed for discounts or free miniatures.” That balance represents real value for painters and gamers who may already have enough points for freebies or a meaningful discount on their next order.

The company issued the update to clarify how the points work after some customers reported confusion. “While there is no issue at all with our valued customers holding onto their Reward Points it has been said to us over email and social media that some customers are not sure how to go about using the points and what they can get with them from us. Here is illumination!” The announcement lays out three practical redemption tiers that map to common shopper goals: quick discounts, grab-and-go loyalty miniatures, and larger bundle redemptions for whole forces or boxed sets.

For a fast price cut, the announcement notes a straightforward swap: “For just 600 Points you activate a discount code for a new order (redeem and then add to cart and checkout) giving 20% off your cart total before shipping. This will be shown at checkout on screen.” For those who prefer a physical reward to paint, “At just 200 Points each you can select an ‘LS Series’ miniature. Choose from a half dozen 28mm Ion Age, High Fantasy (above LS005) and Alternate Stars characters for your table. Each can be bought normally at 7.00GBP too.” That makes the LS Series minis effectively available as free picks for many accounts holding modest point balances.

Collectors and battalion builders have options too. The announcement teases “Bigger Freebies. The Patrol Angis Game Pack? The Furioso Mega Bundle of two armies and book? Giant Skeleton with Fallen Giant Skeleton? An entire Ferach Elf division for Slaughterloo and Flintloque?” and instructs that “All of these can be had by redeeming 950 to 7000 Points in the tab via your new order. Listed in ‘How to Spend’ points.” The company also clarified purchase rules: “Only one discount can be used per order but any amount of product redemptions can be used per order.”

Redeeming points is handled through the site interface. “On the bottom right hand of the website is the above button REWARDS. Clicking on it and being logged in will bring up the menu with ‘How to Earn Points’ look into that to see the rate of accumulation as well as for your Birthday and for Promoting us online etc. In the ‘How to Spend Points’ appears a list of what you can gain by redeeming. Redeem by clicking on your chosen Reward on the list (scroll down to see them all) and proceed onwards with it into your new order. Once redeemed you will be able to see the redemptions in your account and we can see it at our end too.”

For painters and skirmish players this announcement is both a reminder and an opportunity: check your account, tally your points, and decide whether a 20% cut or a handful of 200-point LS Series minis will better fund your next project. With over 600,000 points sitting unused, expect more players to start converting points into minis on the painting desk and armies on the table in the weeks ahead. Thank you all!
