Small World Miniature Club Brings 47th Annual Show to New Glendale Location

Small World Miniature Club's 47th Annual Miniature Show & Sale opened Saturday at Glendale Community College, 6000 W Olive Ave in Glendale, Arizona, marking the first time the long-running Phoenix-area event has been held at this location. The two-day show ran Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with admission set at $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The headline addition to this year's program was a silent auction, promoted as new for 2026, with bids closing at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Beyond the auction, the show floor featured exhibits, sales tables, door prizes, and raffles, rounding out the format the club has built over nearly five decades. A free make-and-take project was also available for children over four years old, giving families a hands-on entry point into the hobby.

The Glendale Community College venue represents a fresh chapter for a show that traces its roots back to a club founded in 1977. Small World Miniature Club is a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts and holds monthly meetings at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Glendale, gathering in the Parish Hall every second Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Those meetings are accessible via the parking lot entrance off 63rd Ave, with the Parish Hall at the far end on the left.

For a club now in its 47th year of public shows, the move to Glendale Community College signals the event's continued growth rather than its settling into routine.
