Call of Duty Mobile Season 3 Paranoia Brings Cosmic Horror to iOS and Android
Season 3 Paranoia drops March 18 with a full-auto 12-gauge shotgun, a loot-duplication battle royale class, and cosmic horror draped over every corner of Serpent Island.

TiMi Studio Group and Activision are sending Call of Duty: Mobile sideways into the unsettling with Season 3, titled Paranoia, which launches March 18 at 4PM PT on iOS and Android. "Check your sanity at the door as cosmic horrors unleash across Season 3," the official Call of Duty Blog reads, and the season delivers on that promise with a condensed extraction mode, a new shotgun, a loot-duplication Battle Royale class, and collaborations with Pop Team Epic and the returning NieR: Automata.
The headline gameplay addition is DMZ: Recon Quick Play, a faster extraction variant that drops up to four squads into the northern section of Serpent Island rather than the full map. The condensed playable area covers five POIs: Kurohana Base, Observatory, Kurohana Ship, Port, and Residential. One deliberate design tweak separates Quick Play from standard DMZ: Recon matches: the extraction switch has been moved from inside the Ship interior to an outside location, "creating natural tension and counterplay between squads inside and outside the Ship." The boss Kui Ji remains part of the experience, and the mode runs as a limited-time playlist from March 27 through April 12 per the community schedule.
On the weapons side, the MX Guardian arrives as a high-capacity, full-auto 12-gauge shotgun built for close-range pressure. Premium Pass holders can unlock the MX Guardian Active Containment blueprint alongside the M13 Chromatic Hivemind, plus Operator Skins for Jackal (The Teeth) and Keegan (The Eyes). The new Tactical Mirror Battle Royale class rounds out the functional additions, deploying a device that lets entire squads duplicate high-tier loot and ammunition mid-match.
Both collaborations run on separate timelines. The Pop Team Epic event goes all season, framing Popuko and Pipimi's arrival as a puzzle-collecting challenge where players unlock comic panels to earn Weapon Blueprints, Camos, Emotes, and more. NieR: Automata returns from April 3 through April 16, bringing the Kui Ji YoRHa No. 9 Type S Operator Skin, four melee weapons, and two dedicated draws: the Morph Symphony Draw and the Final Apocalypact Draw.

Free content runs parallel to the paid pass. The Spring Invasion event offers grindable Operator Skins and cosmetics timed around spring break, and the web store is running a free daily gift throughout the season.
The full playlist and event schedule, pulled from the r/CallOfDutyMobile community post, runs as follows: Hydro Splash and Serpent Island Solo DMZ Option both open March 19 and run through April 22; the Krai BR Map runs March 19 to April 1; Carnival Shootout MP Playlist goes March 20 to 26; BO4 Hardpoint and Stand Off both run March 24 to 30; Critical Parasite Draw opens March 24 and runs to April 6; Power Up MP Playlist covers March 27 to April 2; Unhinged Jokester Draw runs March 29 to April 11; Flatline Draw goes March 31 to April 13; Arena 2.0 BR Playlist runs April 2 to 8; Hardcore MP Playlist covers April 3 to 9; and both Payout S&D and Cranked MP Playlists run April 7 to 13.
One note worth flagging before the March 18 drop: the official Call of Duty Blog lists the launch time as 4PM PT, while the GamesPress press release and PlayDay.One both state 5PM PT. Verify the final time against the Call of Duty Blog or the in-game news banner before queueing up.
