Clover Games Launches Anime RPG HEAVENHELLS Worldwide on iOS and Android
Log in now to claim Katanamochi Erena: HEAVENHELLS hit iOS and Android globally on March 5, one month after its Korea launch hit 1 million pre-registrations.

HEAVENHELLS, the anime tactical RPG from Seoul-based Clover Games and its in-house H2 Studio, went live worldwide on iOS and Android on March 5, arriving in every major region from the United States and Canada to Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. The global rollout came exactly one month after the title's Korea domestic launch on February 4 and capped a development arc that began publicly in November 2024, when Clover Games first debuted the game at AGF 2024 as a reinterpretation of Dante's Divine Comedy.
The game drops players into a near-future Tokyo shattered by a dimensional rift called Purgatory, through which demons called Hellions have flooded the world. As a newly appointed Captain, the player commands a unit of elite operatives known as the WiTCHes, assembling four-member squads in real-time tactical battles. Success demands more than pulling the highest-rated characters: squad roles span Protect, Strike, Tactical, and Assault, and each witch carries elemental attributes including Flame, Freeze, and Earth. Matching attack types to enemy classifications and building synergies between abilities is the core loop. As gaming outlet Inven put it, "It's not just about collecting the strongest characters. Cultivating a diverse lineup of witches is key to efficient gameplay."
Three named witches, Azusa, Serika, and Erena, headline the launch roster, with the App Store spotlighting each through individual featured events. Players who log in now can claim Katanamochi Erena as a free unit tied to the 1 million pre-registration milestone the game cleared before launch. Clover Games' original pre-registration announcement from December 5, 2025 referenced this SSR-grade reward character under the name Elena; current in-game events and App Store listings use Erena and Katanamochi Erena for the same milestone reward.
The production values back up the tactical premise. Preview coverage highlighted the game's 3D visuals, cinematic presentation, and the detail put into character animations: expressions, breathing cycles, and eye contact during off-combat interactions all contribute to what one reviewer described as characters that feel genuinely alive. Final-skill animations drew particular praise as visual payoffs for the combat system's strategic buildup.

"We're excited to introduce HEAVENHELLS to players around the world," said Donghyuk Heo, Director of H2 Studio. "Our team will continue supporting the game with ongoing updates while maintaining stable service for our global community."
That commitment carries some weight given the context surrounding the launch. In February, reports of organizational restructuring at Clover Games generated player concern and calls for refunds from some corners of the community. The studio moved to address the situation directly on February 13, with a company representative confirming that "the essential personnel for Heaven Hells service improvement, global version launch, and ongoing updates and operations of live games remain employed," and that "development, operation, and related tasks for Heaven Hells domestic service and global launch will continue." Heo's global launch statement reiterates that position.
Clover Games' broader catalog provides some frame of reference for HEAVENHELLS' ambitions: its flagship title Lord of Heroes has surpassed 10 million downloads worldwide, and the company launched a second active title, the idle RPG Ayakashi Rise, on October 28, 2025. HEAVENHELLS represents the studio's biggest international push to date, built over a development window that included a closed beta in November 2025, two consecutive AGF booth presences, and a pre-registration campaign that cleared seven figures before the global servers opened.
