Diablo Immortal players will get a real reason to log back in when Aeon of Stars arrives on May 13. Blizzard’s StarCraft crossover will run through June 10 and mix limited-time boss fights, Infested Rifts, themed cosmetics, and progression rewards into a month-long event built around the Battle for Beyond.

The biggest pull is that this will not be a simple skin swap. Blizzard says the event will push Sanctuary into StarCraft territory with Zerg-infested zones and larger battle spaces, while the limited-time boss fight will let up to four adventurers take on Tal’Darim Templar and Ascended Archon. Inside Infested Rifts, players will also gain a special Psionic Storm ability, which should make the event feel mechanically different instead of just visually dressed up.

The login rewards are strong enough to matter on day one. Blizzard says anyone who logs in during Aeon of Stars will instantly receive a StarCraft-inspired avatar frame, the Baneboil 2-Star Legendary Gem, and a Kerrigan-inspired weapon transmog. The Phantom Market will also let players embody Kerrigan, Queen of Blades, which makes the crossover feel like it is aiming at both collectors and players who care about build identity.

The reward track is layered on top of that with four weeks of cycles, milestone payouts, and loot that leans into practical value. Blizzard says milestone rewards will include Bound Empowered Immortal Keys and Immortal Keys, while the broader reward pool will offer StarCraft-inspired stickers, a StarCraft-inspired portal, legendary gear with selectable affixes, and set items with selectable affixes. For Diablo Immortal, that matters because the event is not just about cosmetics, it is also a short window for gearing and gem hunting.

Aeon of Stars also continues a pattern Blizzard has leaned on hard. Diablo Immortal crossed over with World of Warcraft in November 2024 and later joined forces with DOOM: The Dark Ages in April 2026, so StarCraft now joins a rotation of limited-time collabs used to spike logins and reward chasing. With StarCraft and Diablo both sitting in Blizzard’s franchise catalog, the crossover has the kind of built-in recognition that should make Kerrigan, Zerg imagery, and a new Legendary Gem easy sells for returning players.
