Two games from Tencent's Saroasis Studios are making a serious play for mobile, and they couldn't be more different from each other.

Fate Trigger, a 3D anime-style, hero-based tactical shooter first revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2024 under the name Fate Trigger: The Novita, has moved deep into its testing phase ahead of a full launch on mobile, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game uses a custom neural-network simulator to drive realistic motion for hair, clothing, and character skirts, scaling seamlessly to 100-player battles without compromising visual fidelity.

Players step into a world of floating islands shattered by a mysterious "Paleblight" disaster, combining fast-paced battle royale action with unique hero abilities and a "Gun-Chip System" for deep weapon customization. The closed beta test introduced three new playable heroes, Bloodprowler Ryoin, Crystalscar Cynric, and Lootracer Mindy, bringing the total roster to 10. Players can also test five new weapons and two vehicles: an all-terrain armored SUV and a motorcycle. Competitive modes include all-out battle royale, point defense, and trials in shrinking zones. The developers have committed to a free-to-play model focused on cosmetics, avoiding pay-to-win elements.

The second title from the studio is a very different kind of beast. Rewinding Cadence, announced by Saroasis Studios, is a 2D open-world action RPG that blends a time-loop narrative with D&D elements. Players take on the role of a "Returner" who enters a contract with a mysterious humanoid spirit named Chu, sharing the power of "Time Sequence" to repeat a 42-day death loop, uncover clues, reshape causality, and rewrite the planet's future.

The game's mechanics go further than pure narrative novelty. Taking inspiration from tabletop RPGs, players can use a 20-sided die to determine character luck and the outcome of major plot branches. You, as the Returner, are granted a single chance to wind back time by 42 days; guided by the spirit Chu, you can "ring the Bell of Time," returning to pivotal choices, with each loop uncovering new layers as NPCs evolve, events shift, and hidden characters step into the light. The game is targeting Android, iOS, and PC.

Rewinding Cadence has officially commenced recruitment for its first Technical Test, inviting players to break the cycle of a world with only 42 days of life remaining. A pre-registration event ran until March 27, 2026, with participants earning points for a chance to win guaranteed test access and physical prizes including VIVO smartphones and high-end gaming peripherals. The developers have hinted that more expansive tests for mobile devices will follow as the game approaches its final loop.

Fate Trigger is also setting the stage for an esports push, with dedicated competitions planned for the future. With two titles at different stages of testing and an English-language trailer for Rewinding Cadence already hinting at global ambitions, Saroasis Studios is positioning itself as one of the more ambitious mobile game factories to watch in 2026.
