GamingonPhone Awards 2026 return to Bangkok, nominations now open

GamingonPhone opened nominations for its 2026 Awards and sent the show back to Bangkok, the same city that hosted last year’s live winners’ ceremony. The outlet framed the return as its biggest celebration of mobile gaming, with nominations now live and the 2026 cycle already taking shape as a community-wide checkpoint.

Bangkok is doing more than hosting a trophy night. The city has become one of Southeast Asia’s most visible gaming gathering points, and its calendar is already stacked with another major event: gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show is scheduled for the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from October 29 to November 1, 2026. For mobile gaming in particular, that puts Bangkok at the center of a region where phones remain the main screen for play, launches, and live-service churn.

The shape of GamingonPhone’s awards explains why the nomination phase matters. In 2025, the process began with nominations on July 15, finalists were revealed on August 22, voting stayed open until September 21, and winners were announced in Bangkok on October 17. That same edition featured 30 categories, and GamingonPhone’s 2024 ceremony materials said those categories spanned both B2C and B2B, which pushed the event beyond a simple best-game list and into the wider business of mobile publishing, services, and community-building.

GamingonPhone itself launched in 2019 and says it now reaches about 1.5 million monthly average users. That audience size helps explain why the awards have become more than an internal media feature: they function as a public signal map for where mobile gaming attention is concentrating, which titles have stayed relevant through live updates, and which studios, creators, and business teams have kept players engaged across the year.

The 2025 cycle also showed how formal the program has become. GamingonPhone said that year’s awards were judged by a 106-member jury, giving the event a structure that sits between fan participation and industry selection. With nominations live again and Bangkok back in the frame, the 2026 Awards are already pointing to the same center of gravity: a mobile scene that now treats recognition, regional momentum, and player conversation as part of the same live calendar.
