Genesis War soft launches on Android and iOS in select markets
Genesis War is playable now in Canada, Australia and Indonesia, giving early access to a 70-character tactical RPG before its Q2 2026 global launch.

Genesis War has moved from pre-launch buzz to playable reality in Canada, Australia and Indonesia, with the soft launch going live on Android and iOS on April 14. For mobile RPG fans in those markets, the wait is over; for everyone else, the game now enters the watchlist stage as LINE Games inches toward a broader rollout.
The pitch leans hard into classic tactical-RPG appeal. LINE Games describes Genesis War as a character collection RPG from Meerkat Games, built on The War of Genesis 1 and The War of Genesis 2 and set in the war-torn world of Antaria. The story follows Princess Iyolin and her allies as they try to reclaim a fallen kingdom while digging into the deeper cause of the conflict. The publisher says the original game first launched in Korea in 2024 and has since built an audience across Asia, including Taiwan.
What makes the soft launch matter is the combat. Genesis War is not being sold as a light tap-to-win mobile RPG. Battles are built around drag-and-drop positioning, with terrain and elemental advantages shaping how squads perform. LINE Games also folds in boss raids, PvP, exploration and harder stages, giving the game a longer progression curve than the usual short-session gacha loop. That setup should immediately tell genre regulars whether the game is going to hit their preferred pace or bounce off fast.

The practical details are just as important. The App Store listing calls Genesis War a role-playing game for iPhone and iPad, rates it 13+, and lists iOS 12.0 or newer as the minimum. It also asks for 6GB of RAM and at least 7GB of storage, which puts it closer to a heavier premium-style install than a casual mobile download. The listing adds full voice acting, more than 70 characters, over 300 stages, and modes including Tomb of the Brave, Battles and Machina Wars, along with probabilistic in-app purchases.
LINE Games had already begun global pre-registration on March 24, and its official schedule update on March 9 pushed the launch window to the second quarter of 2026. That makes this soft launch the first real test of whether Genesis War’s nostalgia, party-building and tactical depth can justify jumping in early. Players in the three test markets can start learning the systems now; everyone else gets a clearer signal on whether this is a sideload, a watchlist, or a wait.
