Players saw a narrow balance-and-bug hotfix when Hearthstone’s patch 34.6.2 launched on February 24, 2026, and Blizzard rolled a server-side 34.6.3 hotfix on February 26 to repair several Battlegrounds and connectivity problems. The two updates aim to calm volatile interactions entering the CATACLYSM expansion cycle and to close a handful of urgent bugs affecting Ranked modes and Adventures.

Standard received a surgical change to Warmaster Blackhorn’s Battlecry text: Old text read "Battlecry: Destroy all cards that cost (2) or less in both player's hands and decks." The new text narrows that to "Battlecry: Destroy all cards that cost (2) or less in both players’ decks," removing hands from the effect and altering how Blackhorn impacts early turns. Blizzard’s developer note began "Dev Comment: Well met! We’ve loved seeing the excitement around the Hearthstone Spotlight and what’s ahead with CATACLYSM," and encouraged players to "check out the free goodies in the Dragon’s Hoard and claim your login reward, Warmaster Blackhorn," noting Blackhorn "has already begun making waves in the meta."

Battlegrounds saw hero and pool adjustments under 34.6.2. Professor Putricide’s Build-An-Undead lost five minions from its pool: Skeletal Sidekick, Archerus Veteran, Ticking Abomination, Incorporeal Corporal, and Festeroot Hulk. Creation-tier changes moved Fallen Sun Cleric Tier 2 to 1, Sunborne Val'kyr Tier 4 to 3, Arms Dealer Tier 2 to 1, and Lost Spirit Tier 2 to 1. Those moves change the frequency and power curve of undead builds that have dominated some late-game boards.

Artanis and Warp Gate Protoss minions were adjusted in the same patch. Mothership’s Avenge cost dropped from 5 to 4, changing its timing window, while Carrier’s Avenge now summons a 7/7 Interceptor instead of a 5/5 and then improves permanently. A separate 34.6.3 fix addressed metadata and stat bugs for Carrier: the hotfix "Fixed an issue where Carrier was incorrectly listed as Tavern Tier 7 and where the Golden version summoned a 10/10 instead of a 14/14."

Blizzard posted the 34.6.3 rollout on Reddit with the line "We'll be rolling out patch 34.6.3 today, as a server‑side hotfix patch." The hotfix list includes "Fixed an issue where Warp Gate’s cost‑reduction effect could be consumed when the opponent played a Protoss minion," a fix for a King Llane disconnect caused by signature interactions, and many Battlegrounds fixes: Audience’s Choice Anomaly failing to grant selected cards at the end of Timewarp turns; Whelp Watcher’s summoned Whelp attacking the wrong target; Timewarped Sea Glass health miscalculation; Stone Age Slab failing to double stats on triples; Rune of Damnation being usable on Tavern Tier 1; and Buttons’ and Marin the Manager’s Hero Powers appearing as secondary powers.

Community reports and questions clustered around a few unresolved points after the patches. Players asked, "So does Timewarped Radio Star give copies of friendly minions that kill it or not? The new wording says yes but the bug fix report says no," flagging a contradiction between wording and the hotfix list. Other posts reported practical harm: "The update pop-up kicked me out of an Underground game I had locked up, so now I’m 2-2 instead of 3-1 (23:45 CET). Please fix this, it’s really frustrating." Players also reported the Umbra nerf blocking the final Dr. Boom adventure puzzle (6/6) while some community threads vented over a fast nerf to a pre-release card with comments including "Not enough people is leaving the company, for sure."

Looking ahead, Blizzard reiterated plans for a broader rebalancing in Patch 35.0: "Looking ahead, a much larger balance update is planned for Patch 35.0, alongside rotation and Core Set updates. We look forward to sharing more details soon!" Expect more sweeping changes and full official patch pages to fill in any ellipses left by the hotfix snippets.
