Might & Magic: Fates Free-to-Play TCG Launches on iOS and Android
Ubisoft launched Might & Magic: Fates, a free-to-play tactical TCG, on iOS and Android with a gold-driven economy and Immutable marketplace integration.

Ubisoft rolled out Might & Magic: Fates to mobile players worldwide, bringing a fresh trading-card entry to the franchise that swaps traditional mana systems for a card-driven gold economy. The free-to-play strategy TCG is available on iOS and Android as of February 4, 2026, and emphasizes hand management, tempo, and resource control as central tactical pillars.
Might & Magic: Fates positions itself as "an all-new Heroes of Might and Magic experience" built on the franchise's lore. Core gameplay centers on collecting and trading cards, building decks, and resolving tactical, skill-driven battles where deck composition, positioning, and timely plays determine outcomes. Heroes gain experience in battles and can enhance attributes like attack power and abilities over time, adding a progression layer to match-to-match strategy. Card presentation has been described in some reporting as hand-drawn, reinforcing a classic tabletop aesthetic for players who value art and collectibility.
A major mechanical change is the gold-based economy. Ubisoft and third-party coverage note that gold is generated from cards in hand rather than a fixed mana pool, so decisions about which cards to hold or play affect resource flow and tempo. MuMuPlayer framed the shift succinctly: "Traditional mana systems are replaced with a gold-based economy" and added that "gold generation depends on card draws and hand management." That change makes efficient hand play and tempo control critical to high-level decks and ladder play.
The launch also arrives with Web3-adjacent marketplace functionality. Ubisoft partnered with Immutable to provide a trading marketplace, and Immutable's background details are notable: co-founders James Ferguson, Robbie Ferguson, and Alex Connolly founded the company in 2018 in Sydney, and investors include BITKRAFT Ventures, King River Capital, AirTree, and Temasek. Independent reporting has flagged a token-related promotion: Techmash advises players who held a "Faction Key" before launch to "check your wallet," saying those holders "should have received 90 FATES tokens, which can be redeemed for 90 card packs." That token claim has not been confirmed in the official launch copy and warrants verification with Ubisoft or Immutable for players tracking entitlements.

PC availability remains a mixed picture. Ubisoft's announcement says "Early Access on PC via Steam will be available soon" and does not provide a date. Secondary outlets have published differing PC timelines, including April 2 and April 4 claims, which are inconsistent with the official "soon" phrasing and should be treated as unconfirmed until Steam or Ubisoft confirm details. MuMuPlayer highlighted that players can use its Android emulator to run the game on Windows and macOS, touting high FPS, smooth keyboard and mouse controls, and multi-instance support for players who prefer a PC setup before official Steam access.
For players, the takeaway is clear: dive into deck-building with an eye toward hand economy and tempo, and if you held pre-launch assets check wallet notifications and official channels for any token drops. Watch Ubisoft and Immutable announcements for precise Steam Early Access timing and marketplace mechanics, because those details will shape how collectors trade and how the game's economy evolves.
